That's the thing Spidey, I was constantly checking my email yesterday, and went to order immediately. I never even got the chance to buy it. If it had been up long enough for people following their alerts to at least. Go to the site and decide, then I would own a cherished piece right now. So to be in the hobby and not have an inferior collection I need to be on FB, twitter and the boards 24/7 or miss forever on a piece I would love to own, or pay the lucky sob's gouger prices??? Does not compute!

Sorry, this is 2013, and Facebook/Twitter are the channels to stay up-to-date, not email.

That's bull****. Everybody isn't on twitter and who is on Facebook 24/7? We're not all in the same convenient time zone. All they had to do if using those channels was give a heads up a day or two in advance. Be prepared at 1100 est, something special and hard to get coming, ready to ship.

If everybody knew ahead of time, the system would crash.

I wholeheartedly agree, don't get me wrong. It would have been a lot fairer if they previewed and gave a time when it could be ordered.
I was just commenting on the "but I was checking my email the whole time and didn't see it" remark. Email is outdated if you want to stay up-to-date.

It's impossible to please everyone.
Even if they sent out emails with an hour or two notice there will always be international collectors in different time zones fast asleep.

E-mail was outdated even before social media came on the scene. It's unreliable. Either you don't get it in time, you don't get it at all or it ends up in your junk box. Don't rely on e-mail as your sole form of notification. This isn't anything new.

With these events, Sideshow is full of surprises. If you want to participate, its your responsibility to turn to multiple sources for information and follow multiple sources for notification. Sideshow isn't going to give you a heads-up through a personal phone call.

I do feel for those that missed out. But learn the way the game is played and change your strategy. Learn from it so you are better prepared next time.

lolz... By change your strategy you mean give up a career and spend all day refreshing facebook and twitter... For others in a very different time zone, it would mean getting no sleep.

they just made too many regulars and couldnt sell, so took some of the inventory and turned them into white. Not the worst thing sideshow has done....white actually looks a lot nicer. I missed it though was busy day at work, oh well.

Even if we all had a day or two notice there would be no guarantee that you would get one.

I remember the good ol' days when Sideshow announced the time and day a statue went up for PO and then when the PO went live at 10 AM Pacific Time on that day...Sideshow's servers would crash after you'd been sitting & waiting at your computer refreshing every few seconds!
