Where do you live? :lol Maybe it is legal, I don't know. There are a lot of fatted geese around my college campus, and whenever I passed them by, it always made me hungry.

Enjoy it while it last. Trust me it starts going fast the older you get.

Today at work I found out a young man of 24 died yesterday during an agility test for another County job. Left behind a wife and two small children. You never know what tomorrow holds.

Was it an accident or freak medical event? Sudden death of people younger than me never fails to terrify.

Heart failure. He was diabetic and smoked. Don't know much else, just what I heard today. He was a big strong guy and was helping move Corp. Office to another building. And then went for that agility test.

i knew a 24 year old young mother, just dropped dead after buying ice cream from the dairy. they said it was brain aneurysm. nobody saw that coming. she was fit. clean living, gym buddy, fitness model.
it was too tough consoling the husband, no amount of words could fix that broken man. he was too in love, losing his better half like that...we drowned the night with liquor. :[

My oldest grandson is 22. If anything happened to him I would just die. Rather it be me. 22, 24 26, they're just starting their life.

I sold an old video console (last gen) brand new, unopened, sealed, shipped it via USPS with the rates provided by eBay and paid for by the seller, no returns on my listing. The seller now claims that the costs were too high and wanted to send me a shipping label from FedEx but had already paid for it and the item had already been dropped off at the post office before their message was received (about an hour after they sending payment). They also claim that one of the Wii remote sensors doesn't work and they have to purchase a new one (I had no clue since I've never opened it), and they are demanding a partially refund of $50 for the shipping and remote or threatening to open an eBay case for a full refund. I will be contacting eBay later to find out what to do, but I was wondering if anyone knew what I should do? My listing said all sales final, no returns, the shipping I use is USPS and that was stated in the description as well, Wiis might not be for sale at retail stores anymore and I've had it for years so I had no idea the remote was broken so I don't think I was at fault there either, I'm wondering do I have a case here if they open one?

If they bought the item from you, then they agreed to YOUR terms and conditions. Since you highlighted no returns in your listing, they agreed to that when they bought it. That's just dumb and odd for them to ask to change shipping. If it was too expensive for them, they shouldn't have bought it in the first place. It's on them. You had no way of knowing if the controller worked as it was sealed. I suggest you do call eBay. You can also file a complaint against them online for making "unreasonable demands" and that gives eBay a paper trail for that user. Tell them to contact eBay if they wish. I wouldn't budge though. There are some idiots out there on ebay and I have no sympathy for them when they do dumb things. Good luck friend and let me know how it turns put if you don't mind. I sell a lot on eBay as well and am interested in the outcome.

Thanks for the support, Shawpaw. So I spoke to eBay, and they are basically not taking my side. They said it is better to work out a partial refund with the buyer, otherwise the buyer can file a complaint and send the item back to me in which case I can test whether it works or not, but regardless, they will be allowed the full refund for return, despite what my listing said because of eBay's Money Back Guarantee policy. As for the shipping, that's out of my hands so it's only the "broken" remote that is the issue. I'm gonna have to talk to the buyer about that since I don't think the full $40 for the remote is fair given that it was out of my power (the other $10 was for the shipping). I guess I should try to see if they'll meet me 1/2 way at $25?

I would get a price quote and tell them you will only refund them for the broken remote. I think that's ******** that ebay takes the side of the buyer so much when they charge a **** ton of money from the sellers. ugh. I would threaten to leave ebay if they basically hold you at fault. I've done this before and they said they would cover the refund and I wouldn't be held accountable.

Also, keep them honest and ask for "proof" that the remote doesn't work. Anyone can get an item and say it doesn't work. IF they want to send it back, just let them (they pay shipping costs). Sound like people you don't want to deal with. I'd still suggest reporting them if it comes out that they can't provide proof or the controller actually works. They have to be able to prove it. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I wish there was another alternative over ebay.
