Gentle Giant, IMO, has handled this Babydoll debacle with such ineptitude that it's left a sour taste in my mouth.

nope. they jacked the price from $225 to $400 for the japanese variant. so if you do pgm you pay $60 and then $400 for the japanese variant. thats IF they don't do lottery in which you could get screwed out of one anyway and be out $60.

After all of this Baby Doll drama with GG, AND the entitled people who think they're entitled to make $800 on this statue that they just paid $250 for, I also think I am done with this already. I wanted to get all the full size girls, now I may just get a collection of the mini busts since they're easy to get.

Bought the blu-ray yesterday (finally) and looked the extended cut. Really don't get why they cut out those 17 minutes... But on topic... after looking the movie I don't really see Baby Doll in the GG statue.

my understanding was that the msrp on the varient was going to be close to the regular version for the 100 they were selling.

has anyone at GG confirmed the $400 price tag?

Got my babydoll a couple days earlier then expected, and she came in perfect condition! #79/500 Outstanding statue, the detail is really top notch, I felt she was out of place with my other marvel pf women, since she is so realistic, may need to put her next to the movie statues I have.

I would be curious to see the face repainted on one of these, everything else looks good.

Only thing I would consider changing on the face is more eyeliner/mascara look, that is the only think I can really tell is off from pics.
