my babydoll is sitting upstate
I think I'm going to try my luck with a $60 gamble on the guild membership, but are the odds just so off the charts that I basically have no chance?
I'm glad you guys are talking about this. I know this isn't exactly a popular move, but here's a little insight as to why we're doing this lottery-style. The main reasoning is that:
a) we have collectors around the world that want this piece, and just saying "all 100 will go up for sale at 1pm PST" isn't fair to our collectors that will be asleep or stuck at work without access to the 'net when it happens.
b) there are only 100 available and the demand is significantly higher than the supply
c) this prevents less scrupulous collectors with multiple accounts on our site and a fast connection from buying multiples when they go up and sticking it to the rest of the community by trying to flip them for significantly more money on auction sites
It *will* be done completely randomly (with the results being checked to ensure no one gets a duplicate order in there before cards are processed). No favorites will be played.
We're not just doing this lightly; we talked about this decision extensively internally, going over a couple of different options for distribution before deciding that lottery was the best way to go, considering the circumstances.
If you've got questions, please feel free to ask me.
Thanks!
You mean other, right? Gee whiz! Who could that possibly be? I simply have noooo idea!
Well the $60 to me is no huge deal, I guess its worth a gamble considering no companies, or SSF members have stepped up to offer help. The cold reality is:
a) I buy a $60 lotto ticket
b) Pay $800+
c) Forget about the whole thing.
a) seems like the only sane option.

Thanks for the support Snoopy!
I also wonder if I might be able to find one on yahoo japan once it releases over there. One of the perks of cel collecting...good relations with deputies

I just have no idea what the edition size is they are offering vs the number of guild members that may be trying for it. Any guesses?
An even crazier question, any of you that already have your BD that also are guild members, would anyone be willing to go for it to help me increase my chances of getting one? I could obviously pay right away if someone got lucky and could help me.
I swear it's like me and 2 others who didnt get one, everyone else right and left are getting processed, it's incredibly depressing.

BAM!!!ha, that was my first instinct. i ordered the darth maul one...i guess i could get maybe $30 out of it.
I know alot of you have been talking about the Baby Doll figure and the lack of availablity. I only pre-ordered Amber from BBTS. Is there I chance I won't get her? I thought I still might be able to get it, seeing that she seems to be one least popular characters in the film.
