I really liked Fury, truth be told. As for SS, again, the verdict's still out there, but I'm hearing more and more cause for concern. Over at CBM, someone who caught an early screening said that it's a "comic book movie mixed with Hot Tooic" and that "the fans will love it, the rest, I'm not sure". Dunno, it all seems worrisome to me. But, again, we'll see in August, it's too early to speculate now.

Ah sabotage was the one u was taking about. Fury got some Oscar nods right? Ayer is a great director.

I'm just not sure what this movie is going to be. I think at the very least I like it. Cause I likes BvS, fanboying hard even though I can tell its a bad movie at times

Oh dear. I still take it with salted grains but that's concerning, not just for DC but for all comic book movies.. But it entirely unbelievable, while I haven't seen it I heard Ayers last movie was bad. Even Singers last movie got bad reviews and he's been on a Run.

Will the DCU survive another BvS? If SS is badly reviewed then WW and justice league have to be amazing to fix it.

They should just stop now

Well I read a positive review and he said it was great and fixed batman s name from bvs movie. He that everyone else who came out of the show enjoyed it to

Who knows. It's all subjective. Some people even live BVS for Petes sake which I can't believe. :lol

I was just posting my disappointment, as others have, at what we have heard. What I heard at least was factual plot points and not 'what that person thought of the film'. It sounded truly dreadful.

:peace:

But, a la SSF policy, you always get one or two ****heads who can't handle negative press. Gotta love it really. :lol

If this is bad, they should really just reboot imo. I hope it's not though.

Don't get me wrong, I am still holding out hope there are parts I will like. I'm just finding that hater to believe now.

Eh a great director is overselling him. I haven't seen Fury but I know it got a lot of acclaim and was nominated for Best Picture but aside from that his filmography to date isn't anything terribly impressive.

I've found that people in the DC section of the forum (as well as other places online) seem really sensitive about people who are skeptics. It's hard to get really excited about DC films at the moment when in my opinion they've delivered back to back crap films. Especially when one of those films had potential to be something really great. I've been a DC fan for a long time and Batman is probably my favorite comic book character of all time and I really don't like to say that I'm not excited to see more films in this universe but at the same time I'm not going to be a blind fanboy who buys into whatever is put out just because it's what's current.

It's not that we're sensitive to skeptics (as you put it) or critics. I find it funny to suggest such... try criticising a Marvel movie... you get exactly the same sensitivity.
The problem I had with the BvS criticism was that the most vocal dissenters on her just quoted the movie critics sentiments... which were pretty much all word-for-word the same... which I find... strange to say the least. Personally I like to make my own opinions about movies.
I'm surprised you didn't like it as a DC fan, as I found being a DC fan made the film more enjoyable – you understood what was happening - whereas I can understand the GA not 'getting it'.
Now we get the first rumblings of 'negativity' about Suicide Squad – considering WB is looking into making solo movies of a few of the main characters already, and have sounded Ayre out about a sequel too... which, considering BvS didn't make the money they'd hoped, would never happen unless they were confident. But now suddenly it's a turkey... hmmm!

I think part of the reason is there are just too many 'comic superhero' movies coming out at the moment. Doesn't matter what 'brand' you like, it can be easy to be overcome. Granted I've been more partial to Marvel comics, but I have yet to see CA: Civil War and the latest Xmen, reason, I'm over saturated with 'comic' based movies. I liked the Nolan Batman saga, and the BvS 'reboot' I just had no interest in. I wasn't overly impressed with Man of Steel, it was OK but it just didn't make me want to see anything subsequent. There is Aquaman, Wonder Woman, another Wolverine Movie, Suicide Squad, all due out within the coming year it's just too much! I'd probably see Suicide Squad before I see Civil War or the new xmen! Even with Star Wars, if they go as planned and basically have a new SW based movie (prequel or stand alone or rest of the episodes) coming out every year, it'll get old real fast. I'm all for comic movies, just not all at once!
