I really enjoyed the movie and it's no where near a 30 percent. These critics are horrible. They gave the new ghost busters a 70 percent. Anyways I give it a 8/10. Had its issues but the characters were all great. I'll be getting Harley dead shot and 1 of the jokers.
The new Ghostbusters is actually worthy of that rating. Pleasant surprise honestly. Funny, paid tribute to the classic, and the four lead actresses gave great performances.

I would say though, since DC is so late to the live action expanded super hero universe, I wonder if the critics have started to feel DC is crashing the marvel party and they just purposely rate down the movie. Or rather, if anything justifies a lower rating, then they take it to the nth degree.

For what, on the face of it, is a throwaway popcorn movie (which some critics have already thrown away), some of the actors allegedly took it very seriously:

And the motives for this one are a little dubious...

:lol

Fair play if they did all that. Too many actors going through the motions in movies these days. If I was an actor preparing for a role I'd like to think I could get myself geared up by doing some weird ****. :D

So... Where's my tuxedo version? :clap

Personally I really like it. Looks way more intimidating than that purple coat.

I must say he is looking good in any outfit he is wearing. At least in the movie. I think it's because his face expression, the smile face with purple coat version is bad combination. He is looking pi**ed off most of the time. And that face expression from Arkham version fits it better imo.

Or it could be that the movie is just bad and there is no conspiracy.

DC is trying to catch up to Marvel all at once--that's the real problem here. They're announcing movies and giving them premiere dates before they've even begun developing them, they're hiring untested directors hoping to catch lightning in a bottle like Marvel did with James Gunn but at the same time, even while claiming their films will be "filmmaker-driven", they're snatching control away from the directors and re-editing the movies. They inexplicably decided Zack Snyder could be the guy to dictate the stylistic tone of their interconnected universe just because he's the guy Chrstopher Nolan settled on after a few other directors said no. In trying to differentiate themselves from Marvel's four-quadrant family-friendly fare DC has settled on a ploddingly dull and ultimately silly tone of self-importance for their characters that makes them unpalatable to many people. They screwed up Superman, the lynchpin of their universe, by giving him to a director who neither likes nor understands the character, and that original sin has haunted and undermined DC's efforts ever since. And they don't have a Kevin Feige, and they need one.

Hiring "untested" directors is pretty common. Making a blockbuster isn't for everyone. Several very good directors tried that and stepped aside because it's just not for them, there is often little time and little room for own inventions. Studio got the main voice. A good director isn't something you buy in a grocery shop, you must find the talent, try different people if you already don't have name like Nolan or Scott for the project.

And about SS i wouldn't blame Ayer, it's clear that he had a very different vision of the movie and probably even different final cut. But WB did their own version.

I think Heath Ledger's going to be to the Joker as Christopher Reeve is to Superman. The idea of Leto's "gangster Joker" just seems sort of trite in comparison to Ledger's incedible performance. I'll have to wait until I see the movie (on demand, whenever it's available) to be sure, but everything I've seen of Leto's take just leaves me underwhelmed.

That's strongly individual. For me the Joker is Nicholson. And he was also a mob boss, no issue for me.
