Capcom has thus far shown Super Street Fighter IV newcomers Dee Jay and Juri. But it has said that we can expect around eight characters for the game.

So when will we get a glimpse at the other World Warriors? Next week, it seems.

The Super SFIV official blog was updated today with one of those announcements of an announcement that Japanese publishers seem to love. The blog promises a big announcement for next week, coinciding with a Weekly Famitsu blowout on the game.

The SFIV official site is usually updated on Thursdays, but Famitsu info leaks out a few days prior. We should find out the nature of this big announcement early next week.

There's somewhat of a hint to what we can expect at the blog. Can you guess who's beating up on Chun-Li in this pic?

like i said....isn't that a revamp of rolento's stage in alpha 2, so the character may be rolento

I thought of Rolento too. That would be great if he was one of the new characters. I'm so happy they are adding new stages. The two they have shown so far look great!

Now if only they will tone down the red saturation on the volcano stage and Seth's level.

Looking good. Rolento isn't anywhere near my list of top wants, but no biggie, as long as I get my Ibuki.

Glad they're adding more stages. The India stage is looking good, and I like what I see of the NYC stage.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in an earlier post (but I'm not going to bother to check) but I REALLY want some completely revamped music, as the soundtrack to SFIV was probably the weakest aspect of the game. I actually downloaded the SF Alpha 3 soundtrack the other day, and I forgot how awesome it was. SSFIV needs more upbeat tracks like The Road (Ryu's theme) and Prismatic Stars (R. Mika's theme).

I would agree about better music. The really good news is that, "Indestructible" is going bye bye!

I also think the most unfitting music compared to the stage is the Drive In stage.

Lets hope so. And I think we do need the two female characters, as all the brought-back characters have been males so far... maybe even swap Dudley for Elena? I don't feel the need to deal with another overpowered boxer in SSFIV

Hopefully. Maybe they'll alter Cody's SFIII fighting style a bit and make it a mix of that and Final Fight so he won't look odd in motion when in his alt. costume...

Jeez, Cody's been in prison FOR-EVER!!! If he escaped in SFA3, then you've got the SFI, II and III Tournaments. . . well, maybe that's only 6 or 7 years or so, but man, that's funny he's still in his prison uniform.

actually, SFIV is supposed to occur between SFII and III (don't ask me why)

But regardless, I stand firm on the fact that jailbird Cody has been, and always will be, ridiculous.
