Super Street Fighter IV has over 4 hours of cut scenes!

According to the BBFC (the uk equivalent of the ESRB) Super Street Fighter IV contains over 4 hours of cutscenes. Here are the details of the cutscenes:

Now let’s compare this to the SFIV BBFC page:

Looking at this info we can see that SSF4 will have 3 times the running time of the anime cutscenes from SF4 and twice the total ammount of rival intros. Now if we do the math (and considering SSF4 has 35 characters) each character will have 5 minutes of anime goodness compared to only 1min and half to 2 min in SFIV which clearely means longer more fleshed anime prologues and endings.

As for the the rival into, doing the math reveals 1.8 Minutes of rival video for each character which is pretty damn long for a rival intro, the thing that makes believe (adn confirm an old rumor i have heard) that each character in Super Street Fighter IV will have 2 rival battles instead of just one. (take this with a giant grain of salt)

As for the attract mode , it is probably the intro video which makes sense that it runs for 3 minutes.

Anyone else excited about longer prologues and endings ? i really see this as a welcome feature as i thought the anime cutscenes from sf4 where very very short and low quality!

Almost any cutscene they can come up with will be better than the cutscenes in SFIV.

I really liked most of the Rival cut scenes, but I HATED all the anime stuff. Such low quality. I hope that Capcom put some budget into the new anime cutscenes and really flesh them out with some revamped, quality backstories (because most of them were really weak and lame).

Agreed! The cutscenes in IV were total garbage and half assed. Here's hoping they make things right with Super and actually try to progress the story a bit. Also, lets hope they actually attempt to explain how Gouken is alive.

To be fair, they haven't announced all the new characters yet, let alone from SFIII...

That being said, I really hope at least Ibuki and Dudley make the cut. Elena would be great too.

True, but it seems like the leaked character list was spot-on so far, so we'll most likely get ibuki, dudley, and makoto.

I also heard rumors of the creators really wanting to put Rolento in there too, which would be great, but I still really hope there's at least one more all-new character.

Supposedly, it's Ibuki, Dudely and Makoto. They are the last remaining characters from a list posted months ago that so far is 100% accurate.

I wonder if the original SF IV cast will be given a second alternate costume and the new ones announced will also have a total of three?

I really hope that Cody gets his blue jeans and t-shirt from Final Fight.

Eww, I don't like Chun's new costume. Maybe it's the color of it, but it's kinda not great.

I'm really looking forward to the new ultras, especially as alternates for the "bad" ones like Guile's and C. Viper's (though i did just play someone online who was super efficient with Viper and could combo into her ultra with no problem... )

yeah about 6/10 people over at srk aren't too happy about it either but part of me thinks its just the color. the palette isn't too appealing but imagine maybe like a black on red or something along those lines and it might be okay.

Fellow named Haunt over at neogaff who i believe either works for capcom or has intimate ties with capcom (he is legit for sure) has been teasing all day. I paraphrase:
"many are saying the alts look 'thrown together.' could this mean that your character's costume will be customizable? maybe...or maybe not "

could just be more teasing, there's lots of facetious stuff he has been throwing out all day and in the past, there's nothing solid but he's reliably hyping. something big is coming up, quite possibly a new ultra trailer tomorrow at the vegas SSF4 fightclub.

anyways i think its a possibility and that would be really cool and a pleasant surprise. a hint at this possibility would be that dan and blanka haved traded costumes in the scans. blanka has pink pants and dan has a tarzan outfit. since they 'trained' together in the pseudo-canon of sf, it makes sense, but it could also mean that you have some sort of customization options.

So now that we know there are 2 ultras and selectable like SF3, does anyone think its gonna be a rehash of SF3 where only specific ultras are worth using/top tier etc...?

Rose is my main and hate for them not to tweak her utlra now and only be able to use her second cause its comboable etc... I hope all the ultras are balanced where a specific one fits your game style and not being used cause its god mode.

Cant wait for what they do to balance to low Tier characters, after seths interview mentioning Sim and Rose having some nice new moves. I am excited more then ever for it!

Dont forget Speedy we need some matches in this week!!!!!
