To be fair at least it's an attempt to disguise himself.
However, upon closer inspection it looks like the hair was added to the top of his head. It abruptly straightens halfway through.

This. No problem with it being messy and not the classic parting of CK most are used to, but his hair is NOT that curly. It’s wavy sure and could certainly be ‘all over the place’ but this just looks supremely odd.

I just don’t think it translates. Adam West Batman looks like a joke.

Imagine that Hono Wolverine figure is what Jackman was dressed like in Deadpool & Wolverine.

The movie could be good, it is James Gunn, but I dunno I think I’d just be taken out of it every time I see those trunks.
Hold now on the Adam West bashing :) Seriously though, I think it looks silly NOW...in 1966 (and when I watched it in the 1970s) it was exactly what I thought it should look like. That was my point about Reeve Supes...in 1978 that look made perfect sense to me...in 2024, not so much.

Someone posted this comparison on FB, and man does it make me love and appreciate the Reeve suit more than ever now. I had been thinking for a while that it was looking pretty simple and outdated (especially next to the Cavill suits), but next to the new suit it's absolute perfection.

So I guess that's one good thing to come out of this. 😄

I never judge a film based on BTS pics. The costumes look cheap (especially Mr. Terrific), but a lot can change during post-production. The massive cast of characters is what's got me most worried. Just seems overstuffed. I want a Superman movie, not an ensemble movie with Superman.

With my prejudice in play, it's not only a good disguise but acts as a deterrent. When I see somebody with the broccoli haircut, my initial reaction is "I don't want to interact with this person. He probably is gonna do something because he wants to go viral. Doesn't get enough attention at home and feeds on "likes, subscriptions, and followers." Ewww. Stay away."

Definitely, nobody is gonna think he's Superman. Lol!
Not to mention, also probably uses the phrases no cap, bussin' and ong/on god

Logistical.

Best time to ink performers to multi picture deals, at a solid bargain rate, is when the early hype is the strongest.

Also Gunn has to build out a "universe" that could easily turn into a trilogy plus supporting newer DCEU films.

Gunn only makes one kind of movie over and over again. And he is, IMHO, good at that one kind of movie. I say just let him continue to do what has been successful for him. He made people cry over an angry racoon and a tree that only said one phrase. I mean, no matter what Gunn does from here on out, even if the DCEU under his helm faceplants, that's just impressive.
