For this to be a fair fight you need to put the best Superman against the best Hulk and Superman will always win. The Silver Age Superman was off the charts on every level and WWHulk was no where near what SA Superman was.

Superman man is soooo fast he can sleep while defeating brainiac and finish the comic in one panel. he can eat a banana and take a _____ on the toilet while a second later can fly around the world 15 times and defeat the entire justice league. give me a break.

Yes, and then I will read the newer Hulk comics, and then the newer newer comics of Hulk. Where Hulk beats the crap out of the universe, twice. I've said this before, the writers can create whatever Hulk they want. I could become a writer today and say Hulk can now fly because bla bla bla. We should only be comparing the powers of the original Hulk to the original Superman. But, even the original Superman could beat the crap out of the newest Hulk.

You have yet to convince me otherwise why Superman should win. I get that he's fast, but you're only convincing me it would be a difficult fight for the Hulk, not that he would actually win.

You underestimate the advantages of speed. How could a big green monster controlled by anger even fight someone who is fast enough to evade all of his attacks and on top of that, defy gravity?

I will give you a scenario of Superman defeating Hulk, then please give me yours of Hulk touchi... defeating Superman.

Superman can lift up the Hulk, fly to space and throw the hulk into the sun since leaving him in space won't kill him because Hulk 52.0 CAN NOW BREATHE IN SPACE... And since Hulk can't fly (yet.. ), he will be sucked in by the suns gravitational pull and be crushed into pieces in the center, if not already killed by the massive amount of heat or radiation. This will all happen in a matter of seconds, Hulk won't even realize what happened to him. He won't even get the chance to become more angry/stronger. Superman will finish off the Hulk within seconds, 1 minute tops.

If it doesn't work to kill the Hulk throwing him into the sun slap) and the Hulk miraculously manages to pull himself out from the gravitational pull (which is most unlikely) Superman will throw him out in space as far away as possible, to a galaxy far far away , where the Hulk could never find his way back to Earth even if he were to land somewhere where he could throw/push himself back in the direction to earth, since there is no air resistance in space the Hulk would be travelling at the same speed forever at the direction Superman threw him, only gravity of stars or planets could slow him down. There in space many things can happen, he could become calm, start think about Ross, change back to Banner and die.. Or, he might starve to death. Oh... I could go on forever with this...

Basically, Hulk is just a big toy that Superman could toss around and play with.

And you really shouldn't bring physics into a discussion like this one lol. Were talkin about an alien and a big green monster.

No, lets not bring any rational arguments into this conversation at all. Because obviously in the Superman and Hulk universe hitting someone slow like a snail will do just as much amount of damage as if they were hit with in the speed of 1m(39")/s, even the fastest speed of a punch from Superman would do just as much damage as a punch slow like a snail. Right...

So you are telling me HAVE to compare, ORIGINAL Superman and Hulk, you mean the Joe Shuster and Siegel Superman that couldn't fly, was only as fast as a locomotive, and only could withstand bullets to a slightly weaker, oddly smarter Hulk who was colored grey? Or Pre-Crisis Superman and Silver Age Hulk? Your arguments are ignoring the source material.......which one is it? Original Superman would get whooped by Original Hulk. Lol you need to read more comics....you obviously don't even know what Original Superman was........

You see what you want to see.

There's already plenty of good canon and non in this thread to make a Superman victory more than plausible. Not so with the Hulk even in his latest incarnation. Sorry, but that "Hulk gets stronger the more mad he gets" has got to logically top out at some point even in a comic book universe. An emotion such as rage or any emotion for that matter can't grow ad infinitum. I'd rather have the sun power me than a single limited feckless emotion. In fairness some of the silver age exploites of the Man of Steel are ludicrous, but take those away and Kal El still has more than enough strength, speed, smarts, stamina and sun to defeat the Hulk.

Great counter-argument there... When I say original Superman, I mean the Superman created by the actual creators of Superman. Shuster and Siegel. That Superman. The same with Hulk, the Hulk created by the original creators, Lee and Kirby. Whatever changes they made, are valid changes, because they created the characters and they can do whatever they want with their creations. But if someone like Greg Pak comes in and says today, oh lets make Hulk this and that... etc. It's not a valid change. If it was like that, then anyone could just make Hulk or Superman into what they want today...

Edit: Because the original superman I was talking about when I said so was obviously the villain created by shuster and siegel...
