I get that feeling when I read some posts in the Walking Dead thread.

Paper beats rock. :lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly:

It's very simple. Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and—as it always has—rock crushes scissors.

You see what you want to see.

There's already plenty of good canon and non in this thread to make a Superman victory more than plausible. Not so with the Hulk even in his latest incarnation. Sorry, but that "Hulk gets stronger the more mad he gets" has got to logically top out at some point even in a comic book universe. An emotion such as rage or any emotion for that matter can't grow ad infinitum. I'd rather have the sun power me than a single limited feckless emotion. In fairness some of the silver age exploites of the Man of Steel are ludicrous, but take those away and Kal El still has more than enough strength, speed, smarts, stamina and sun to defeat the Hulk.
I'm sorry I didn't read your posts or I forgot about em, but you are making alot more sense than the other guy....:goodpost:
That I can take as valid argument that I can actually assimilate into who would win.
Now Pre-Crisis Superman definitely whoops Hulk, but their current incarnations? Hulk beats Superman is what I am saying.
Curiously, what feats of strength has Superman recently done that causes you to think he can overpower the Hulk?

Re: Superman vs Hulk fanboys

Great counter-argument there... When I say original Superman, I mean the Superman created by the actual creators of Superman. Shuster and Siegel. That Superman. The same with Hulk, the Hulk created by the original creators, Lee and Kirby. Whatever changes they made, are valid changes, because they created the characters and they can do whatever they want with their creations. But if someone like Greg Pak comes in and says today, oh lets make Hulk this and that... etc. It's not a valid change. If it was like that, then anyone could just make Hulk or Superman into what they want today...

Edit: Because the original superman I was talking about when I said so was obviously the villain created by shuster and siegel... :slap

I'm thoroughly confused by your wording, and this argument has become semantics rather than actual comic lore. You post supports my argument lol :slap. So you're telling me to ignore the past 30 or so years of comics just because Kirby and Stan Lee didn't write those Hulk stories? I'm thoroughly confused by what you are saying in this post....:panic:

When was Superman a Villain? I know he was tough and brash in his Golden Age years but I don't recall him being a villain....

When I mean original Superman, I'm talking about this one

I don't see where it says "comics only," and if you haven't seen, the vids that sponsored this topic are the movie versions of the characters. :wink1: :lol

Then Reeve would be the Silver / Bronze Age Superman since that was what he was based off against the Mindless Hulk.

Yea, Superman Wins.

Not really. It would be the Reeve Superman from the films, the tool who gave up his powers for some skanky, ash tray poon. :cuckoo:

The one with the ability to reverse time by turning the earth in the opposite direction...................:slap

Thusly in reality, stopping gravity briefly and causing the world's population to float off into the sky before resetting it (twice), causing everything and everyone airborne to fall to their deaths. That one, yeah.

Its just a battle of radiations really. Solar radiation vs gamma radiation. I think superman will win, with the sun he has unlimited power.
