Superman vs Hulk

As much as I hate to admit it, Superman would win. When it comes to brute force Hulk is unbeatable in the Marvel Universe but Superman (being the true first ever superhero) has the title of being the strongest. He would still beat the ____ out of Superman (look what Doomsday did to supes, Hulk is FAR superior to Doomsday) but ultimately Superman is the strongest and would be victorious.

Superman can't win against the likes of Dr. Strange or even Dormammu though, everybody knows that.

If I recall this right, Dormammu merged his power with his sister on this story. I doubt he can do it alone.

No. Not even civilians. It was explained that Banner was still conscious when he "hulked out" & keeps tabs of everything so that there won't be any casualties.

Maestro (alternate future Hulk) killed all the heroes on the other hand.

Ultimates Hulk was responsible and held accountable for the deaths of many civilians.

Kryptonite would be what beats Superman, not Hulk.

Actually as Banner uses his intellegence to get the kryptonite and Banner is Hulk, so Hulk wins. Intellegence in a fight is just as powerful as brute strength.

But that is just it, Kryptonite would be needed for Hulk to win.

Superman just flys around and waits till Hulk changes to Banner and then kills him with ease. Toss him into the sun for giggles.

Different universe, the very universe that had him eat shape-shifting aliens.

Hulk has multiple personalities that may turn the battle to his favor. Anyone remember the "Demon Hulk" chained inside Banner's psyche?
If I remember correctly it took all of Banner's other Hulk personalities (The Professor, Gray, Savage & Banner) to defeat it.

The only normal way these guys would even get into a fight would be Hulk going on a rampage with Supes there to stop him, just like that early crossover. If they were to do that over again with everything we've seen Hulk capable of, there's no way Supes could ever take a punch from Hulk standing up.

Supes gets his power from a star, not the hottest star in he universe or anything, but still a star. Hulk draws his powers from gamma radiation. In its greatest expression, long duration gamma-ray bursts are the universe's strongest death ray.

So Superman derives his power from the sun. That's pretty awesome. However, Hulk has the near unlimited power potential of a supernova that he can draw from. From this perspective, Superman couldn't stop him head on at all, but in true Superman fashion would need to use his superior intellect against the Hulk.

I think it's fair to give Supes credit for some amount of mind control as his only disguise has been a pair of glasses. He should be able to use this to help calm the Hulk down and save the day. Plus, it reminds you how he is the swiss army knife of superheroes... if that knife could cut through the earth's crust.

So basically, Supes wins by exploiting Hulk's weakness and calming him down. Hulk wins if Supes insists on showing off. I don't see either one fighting to the death though.

No one in any comic book universe is going to (or should imo) outdo Hulk in sheer strength but this is offset by his clouded mind. There is of course that 90's Hulk that maintained Banner's genius IQ. While cool in theory, dumb Hulk is soooo much more fun.

So... I call it a draw. Much respect to both characters that kick too much ass to go out like chumps. I have yet to see the epic fight they both truly deserve.

WORLD WAR HULK story line: Hulk Beats Sentry (A being who is stronger than Superman and kill gods (Ares,Loki).Marvel Writer Greg Pak answer a fans question in a panel sayin ''that at this point in time, no being on earth and very few in the megaverse could beat Hulk, not even Superman''.

HEART OF THE MONSTER Storyline : Hulk unleashed the Worldbreaker personna, All the energy he emits while in that state destroys a whole dimension including Demons and every being in that Dimension.

GOD SMASH STORY LINE: Altough Hulk loses the fight, he stand his own versus Zeus,One of the Most Powerful all Father of the Marvel Universe.

FALL OF THE HULKS storyline: Bruce Banner outsmart Dr Doom,Probably one of the smartest human on earth.


Also Pre-Crisis Superman might have beat Hulk, but in Todays comics, Hulk rules all.

And Bruce Banner could beat Superman easily...He's too smart for him.

The honest answer to this is that whoever is writing the story that gets approved will say who wins. It's a comic guys.

The only true weakness of superman is his morality.

Honestly, Kryptonite is only a problem for him if you surprise him with it. And how can you truly surprise someone who can see through almost anything and have super speed and heat vision.

Hide it behind lead? He'd just melt the lead and have it cover up the kryptonite and he can do that way before it affects him.

I still say that Superman can hit the Hulk with such force that the impact will propel Hulk into space. The problem he had with Doomsday was he tried to carry him into space, which the writers had to put in. Otherwise, Doomsday would not have been much of a threat. Once in space, if superman stops Hulk's momentum, he won't be able go anywhere, even travel a foot from where he ends up. Eventually whatever air he has left in his lungs will run out and he'd probably pass out, turn into Banner and die.


Just because you're strong doesn't mean you will always win every battle, even if you're the strongest.

In Marvel vs. DC, Spidey beat Superboy, so Hulk could def beat Supes, cause who knows how strong Hulk can get when he gets at his angriest. BTW intelligence is always counted in a fight, look at any power rating and you see intelligence as a strength

If Supes were aware that trapped inside the Hulk is a good man then he would be at a disadvantage. Hulk would fight with all he's got and Superman would hold back for fear of injuring Banner.

If people are just comparing who has the bigger muscles/hits hardest then the problem is there are stories like "All Star Superman" where Clark becomes so strong there's no way to compare to any previous benchmark.

Most posts in this thread focus on whether Supes or Hulk would win in a fight. Honestly, what I got out of these videos is how far we have come with computer graphics. It is amazing that these are fan made. I love that Christopher Reeves was used as the template for Superman rather than some generic steel jawed version. It makes me think that it would be awesome for DC to create CG animated sequels to the CR Superman and Tim Burton Batman films one day.
