agreed. Ada's Dean is so lackluster. And the fact that she was going to up the fee if we kept having her tweak it was ridiculous. She should have tweaked it until we said it was good enough,especially after paying her.

Funny you mention that. I'm working on 3 sculpt of the bros. 2 Sammy 1 Dean. I'm on my 3'rd go painting them & not sure why I don't like my work. I can paint, been doing it for years. But I think it may be because the sculpting is a little rougher (?) They tend to look more like sculpted bronze. But hey, I've got several pieces from her, including having her do up my Ginger from the Wildhearts (hair & bald so I can put the dreads on)

I preordered the Truetype bodies, WHICH, I probably won't get until like Sept or Oct being that I'm in Canada.

Go through toys2 if you can. I'm in Canada and got my narrow truetypes extremely quickly when my preorders were processed.

I'm definately in for a new Dean sculpt, Spenc and Z are quite respectable sculpters. I'm sure wither would do it justice.



Just thought that someone else might like to know, I've found a fairly close jacket to use for Dean's Wilsons Car Coat. Made by Sideshow comes with the Robert Englund figure, will look good customised distressed / stained and the buttons painted black.

SN Addict, try the above link. Minibarbie has them in black but used to also have them in a dark brown. I've got some in the brown & are perfect.

Actually I am super impressed with what Spencer has been producing. As far as Z, hell I'm at the point where I'm buying whatever he makes. They are a joy to paint

Not sure what Spenc's work load is like, I contacted Z about possibly doing the Supernatural stuff & he was cool & honest enough to say it may be a little while, he was interested though. I'd love to see his take on Bobby

Thanks KBA! Actually I did get them through toys2 and just realized they're based in Canada too..duh! So hopefully I'll receive them shortly!

Okay gang I pm'd Spenser yesterday and the last I heard he was already working on some comissions. He hasn't replied to me yet so what I'll do is give it a while and then if I still hear nothing then I'll move on and see if Z would be up for it. its a waiting game and it sucks.

Why not just wait. You're already waiting on the nondelivering Howes, who, ironically, was picked over Spenser on another set of commissions. He does great work, doesn't take forever, keeps you updated AND delivers.

I think I'm being misunderstood. I'm not saying I'm not willing to wait, I am. I'm saying that I want a definate on if a sculptor will do them. I dont wanna wait around to find out they arent up for it. All I want is a yes or no so I know what to do. Im not worried about the wait of the product I just want to know if theyre up for doing it.

Z has about 4 sculpts in the queue that I am aware of from the Freaks board - per his stated time that takes us up to November but based on his ACTUAL turnaround time to date its only September. That said - the guy needs a break, he's been pumping out sculpts amazingly quickly.
