Blue Flame of the West/Mod
Luke VS Frodo ended up being a closer race than expected due to an upsurge in LOTR votes throughout the second half of the week, but Luke was still the winner. So we now have a tie score between the sagas--two points each for LOTR and Star Wars in our poll marathon. This week, one of the two will pull into the lead. (Remember, it's not who would win in a fight--just which one is your favorite character between the two.) So here we go with round 5 of 15:
When the higher ranking villain doesn’t want to venture into the field, he sends his powerful henchman to do his dirty work. Largely silent, this killing machine lets his skills in battle speak for themselves--his painted face intimidating his opponents and adding to his frightening appearance. In a climactic battle at the end of film one, the seemingly outmatched hero beats the odds and slices this fearsome villain in two, but only after we witness a memorable stab through the chest. Following the showdown, the hero rushes to the side of a fallen comrade--who dies in his arms.
