Weak sculpt and the sleeves need to be more poofy, but otherwise a nice figure. May grab him.

But I was waiting on a HT version :p

I am short myself. I just have a problem with incorrect body calculations done on figures. If you are going to make an expensive collectible of a character than it should be as close to the actor as possible...in my opinion of course. :D

What a double standard!!!! In one post you say it will be undersized, but it will be closer to the actor's height than Sideshow's, or Hot Toy's would.

They have the RAH 301, the 301 Massive, the RAH100, RAH220, RAH450, specialty female body, specialty bodies made in conjunction with Bandai, the Spider body, etc. How are these the "same bodies for everything" that every other company does as well???

Most people agree that Medicom has some of the best articulation around, allowing the most natural poses of almost any figure, but you think the posture will be horrendous???

Most people will also agree that Medicom final product usually comes closest to the prototype than most companies.

And finally, they have produced a lot of human sculpts, and yes, they miss on some, but they've captured a lot very well.

To me, it sounds like you are trying to find issues with it...
I am honestly not trying to find issues with it. These just popped out at me from the very first moment I saw this figure. I hate when companies do Depp poorly...it's insulting.

The Medicom figures always have the same issues. I don't agree that they pose the most naturally. their necks are hideously long and their wrists are extremely awkward along with a bunch of other things.

While Medicom sculpts may come out close to the proto this one really does look like a fail to me. It doesn't resemble Johnny Depp much at all...sadly. Believe me, i want a good Sweeny Todd figure but Medicom isn't the company for human likeness, accessories, or value. Like I have said in every post recently, they need to evolve or stick to what they do best, cartoony stuff.

Man that doesn't look like Johnny depp at all! Medicom really needs to stop with these sub par headsculpts because they are raping good characters. Leave the good things up to capable companies. Not a company that will produce a midgit hardly look alike to the real actor. Blah. :monkey4

Wow. Hate Medicom much? Its a bit early to bust open the haterade.

I think it could be a good figure, and if Medi doesnt do it, its likely no one else would.

Oh you spelled midget wrong. Im sure our little people forum members are upset now. Well done.

What double standard? What Hot Toys or Sideshow hasn't done is irrelevant because it is non- existent. Without a comparison there is no double standard.

A premium Format of this character would be amazing.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotflSorry for the typo my fellow English professor. I was typing very fast and my midget fingers couldn't keep up with my brain. :lol

Now you're just being obtuse... I'll leave it at that before I say something I shouldn't...

It will be undersized though, whether it will be too emaciated or lean or short. It will be undersized. That is not to say that Sideshow or Hot Toys would make him to large or bulky. That has happened. But since they have not made one I can't compare it to those companies products. I wish I could because then maybe Medicom would have been forced to do a better job on this figure. :D

Nonetheless, I still think it will be a cool figure to display...The only thing I'm worried will be the paint application. But I'm buying anyway...When is this supposed to come out?

What paint application?

Sorry that was a low blow. They all have the same skin tone. :lol

hell yeah! i'll be getting this for sure. The clothing looks amazing and the sculpt looks like S. Todd to me.

Wasn't a big enough fan of the film to want a figure, but it's very nice. Beautiful tailoring.
