Thanks... its really strange... When you hear about this crap on T.V. you usually just brush it off like most people in here are. But then all of a sudden it was thrown in my lap and it really hasnt sunk in at all. Its very strange.

In a way this is a completely different thing but I know exactly what you mean by this.
I remember on 9/11 when it was all over the news and since it was in the states it felt so far away to me. Then obviously the bombs went off in London too and I was like " holy crap ".

Scary stuff.

This really isn't that scary. For the most part consider it a good thing IMO. It just shows you that things really arent that bad in Iraq and the economy is just fine. Just another media frenzy. Yes I know this is real but come on. Maybe they will be back on shark attacks in a month.

2 schools in my district closed today due to probable cases of Swine Flu. I hope no kids in my school get it but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't enjoy some more paid time off.

I haven't really been watching the news lately - thank goodness! - so maybe I'm missing something... what makes this any more dangerous that just a new strain of the regular flu??? People died in Mexico because their healthcare is horrible and their living conditions are even worse.

And I agree with the medication issue - the more anti-viral medication we take (for really no reason - a normal person survives the flu just fine), the more 'new' flus and medication-resistant strains of all kinds of sicknesses will arise.

the natural defense against any flu is keep your immune system resistant by eating healthy and giving your body the right nutrients...Natural St.John's Wort and high amounts of Vitamin C will take out any flu Virus. Period!

The bad news is....I am hearing they want to force Vaccinations on the zombie tranced sheeple (Vacs do not protect, it weakens the immune system and destroys natural immunity)

Technically, vaccinations *strengthen* your immune system, as they hit you with a small dose of the actual virus. I'm not talking about vaccinations - I'm all for those. I'm talking about anti-viral medications that HEALTHY (not the very old, very young, or immuno-compromised) people insist that their doctors give them when they have a common cold or flu and it would be better to just let their bodies fight it.
