HT is probably smart in not doing one - and perhaps it's because they work so closely with SSC. But given SSC's I don't really see the need for a HT version at all - especially with the Prometheus.

That's true since HT helped SS recently with body ideas and all. I see no need for any other Indy 1:6th with the way SS looks. :)

I can guarantee that Hot Toys would probably have the best paint-job of them all ;)

I just had to get that zinger in there.

A huge shame that Hot Toys won't be doing Indy and it means the only chance of a decent 1/6 Indy lies with Takara, unless Enterbay can get the OK to release Arnie Kim's.

$400 plus shipping will be much better with the Takara version.

If it's comparable in quality to an Enterbay Bruce Lee figure then yes.
I just think the SSC Indy is very overhyped and were it not for the lack of Indy figures compared to those from other franchises and the fact it's going to be on a new base body it wouldn't have been given so much praise.

You are entitled to you opinion, but I will suggest that you are crazy :lecture

Great sculpt, great accessories, extra hat, lots of hands and (based on proto) a stellar outfit. Add to that we get a new body and I think this figure is very deserving of the praise and anticipation.

Sir, I will raise and double your :lecture :lecture

I concur. crazy.

SS Indy is fantastic quality from top to bottom. Head sculpt, clothes, and accessories all top notch. Loads better than Medi. and Hasbro. We'll see what Takara is cooking up but 400 will be difficult to justify.

SSCs also comes with a poseable whip. I think that's gunna be ridiculosly fun to mess with.

Takara's price is utter insanity. I don't care if Harrison Ford himself hand delivered it, it still wouldn;t be worth $400

okay, maybe if he did that it would be but still, my point stands.

Being better than Hasbro or Medicom's efforts is hardly difficult. One is mass market crap and the other is made by a company that hasn't got a clue unless it's making anime stuff or whoring the same 2 or 3 Star Wars molds for all they're worth. I agree the headsculpt looks excellent, then SSC add paint to it.

I thought we were talking about value of what we get for the price... 20 Hasbro, 90 SS, 150 Medi, 400 Takara. What's the best value of quality vs price. We'll see if Takara can meet that hefty price tag.

The only way I'll get the Takara version is if it's made with silicone skin, rooted hair, moveable eyes, real leather jacket, kakhi pants made from bannana repbulic, the most accurate head sculpt available, accessories from every single Indy movie, and a Harrison Ford signed Bluray boxset of the entire series, including the new one before it comes out.
