I loved the film, and it was so nice to see a movie with hero so driven with a singular purpose that I'm sure many dads here could somewhat relate to (I'm assuming... I don't have a daughter [but I'd probably want to do what Bryan did if I were placed in his situation]).
I agree. Its refreshing to see a movie these days that isnt concerned with plot twists and complicated sub-plots. Neeson wasn't concerned with saving all the girls. He wasn't worried about the ramifications of what he did. He wasnt in it to take down all of the bad guys. He wanted his daughter back and he didnt care who he had to go through to get her.
I actually have a daughter...and while I have absolutely NONE of the skills that Neeson had in the movie...I can completely relate to Neeson's character. I think most fathers can! I would do absolutely anything, kill anyone and risk anything I had to without any hesitation if it meant keeping her safe. To anyone here that liked the movie but doesnt have a child...if you ever DO have a child I highly recommend watching the movie again! It will be even better! I promise!
