Boba Ben
Super Freak
Some of those old sets alone should be able to pay for this and leave you with money in your pocket.
I should sell some Lego.
But, l gotta say, this thing is a damn fine piece. As you can tell in my photos, it almost falls into a whole different category of 1/6 scale figure. You can see and feel where the extra cost to produce this thing went. However, whether it's worth the cost of a couple Hot Toys figures or two-and-a-half other Sideshow figures is open for debate. I personally don't regret picking this guy up one bit. But it almost overkills in quality.
C-3PO > Legos
A LOT of Lego.
Glad it looks like it's going to work out, Boba Ben. Like you, I picked-up Iron Monger and this and it's pretty much blown my budget for the next little while. Happy with the purchases, though -- they're both 'figures of the year' in my world.I should be getting a bonus this Friday. I just might be able to swing this.
A LOT of Lego.
You'd be surprised the aftermarket value on some sets. It wouldn't take a lot to more than cover the cost of 3PO.
One or two sets, depending upon the rarity.
Really? **** I didn't know it was worth so much these days. I use have quite a bit myself. SW or LOTR?
LOTR stuff is quite new. Some Star Wars sets, like Cloud City, Mos Eisley Cantina and others can go for many times what they sold for years ago, but those are special cases.
On a side note, who's wiping the oil off their 3PO's and who's not?
I'm not.
I never looked after my old sets, they all lie mixed together in a storage box known as Lego hell. My son will inherit said frustrating box next year.
