Hope when it arrives it's flawless, CDN. I think many of us can relate to your progression from Hasbro to SSC/HT and Tamashii. I was stunned at the price, too, when it was first announced but the quality and detail won me over. Having it in-hand is a pretty special feeling and it's probably the last piece I'd want to give up. Looking forward to your impressions of it.

Thanks Sol. Truth be told, your initial comment on this thread (something about how you could not justify paying that much for sixth scale) and then your subsequent purchase and review gave me the push to do this. A new era is here. $400 3po's and $250 Vader's.

Here's C-3PO with the Taito R2-D2 Japanese clock. Definitely the way to go to keep Threepio company until his official counterpart arrives.

BTW, I know iPad users get a lot of flack for using their tablets to take snapshots but, as you can see above, it sure takes decent photos!

$341 on Amazon with Free shipping. Its a becoming more and more difficult to NOT get this figure. My only issue is that I really have no desire for a 'shiny' 3PO and would rather have him in the dusty, worn out look.

Nothing a bag of chalk can't fix... Maybe a little silicone spray also tinted with chalk for any oil-like markings. All easily removed.

Took the plunge and risk of ordering from Amazon. Bought it used-like new condition. Hoping this means its not a return from someone else who found a flaw in it. I guess if it is flawed, back it'll go. I figured it is just as likely to be flawed there as from buying it new elsewhere. Excited and anxious to get it.

You need to do a body swap on that Han Solo, he's far too short in relation to the other characters not to mention he's got a pipe-cleaner body and the waist of a 12 year old girl.

Hell yes! I agree 100%.
The Enterbay / Medicom UU body is SO thin. I think the height is ok though. Ford was 6ft back then and that means the 12 inches height of the figure is perfect. I'll swap it all over onto a TT slim when I can find one.

If Han is the correct height, every one of the other figures is too tall. Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels are each about 4" (10cm) shorter than Ford 175cm vs 185cm. BTW and just in case, you can't use Wookipedia as a reference for this kind of stuff because they pretty much get nothing (about the movies) right, including heights. Their heights must be Lucasfilm character heights, not as played by the actors in the movies. C-3PO @ 167 cm? As if.

I got the information about Ford's height from the man who was in charge of the production of his costume for Raiders of the Lost Ark, so I'm sure he knew what he was talking about.
If Ford was 6ft, that puts Hamill and Daniels at about 5ft 8 inches which I believe is correct.

I just managed to pick up an ANH Vader from a member here and it will be finding its way to "Short Round" this week so he can do some custom work on it for me. Looking forward to receiving it. I'm waiting for a Marmit Stormtrooper to arrive too.
