yep...............i guess that's even a crapshoot, although they do have rating systems for them. but trying to wade thru all that crap & figuring out their fees just wasn't worth it to me. i'll wait patiently for r2.

There are several good pictures in this very thread. C-3PO with the Taitos, the two Taitos in the same picture and C-3PO with the Action clock as well. I don't remember if anyone had all of them for comparison though.

Here's my Threepio with the Taito clock. Looks pretty good, has some nice pull-out features and scaled perfectly. But, as others have stated here, it only serves as a cheap place-holder until Tamashii releases their own Artoo.

Just got mine yesterday and unboxed him today and DAMN he's heavy!! I mean, I know everyone has mentioned it, but nothing could prepare me for how heavy he actually is!! Got mine from SSC and luckily it's perfect with no defects...and they sent me a free HT figure...love them! This figure is awesome...truly the definitive 3PO...now bring on R2 already!!

Yup. I think an official R2 announcement would probably help sales of 3PO. I really wish some info was coming soon.

No offense to anyone who currently does this... but I could never pose my C-3PO with a bank. It really looks cheap and does not compare in quality at all. It looks really bad to me.

I pose my C-3PO on his own until a true R2-D2 can be displayed next to him. It is just too good of an item to bring it down a level by placing it next to plastic.

I am trying to read previous posts, but is there any chance for a Tamashii R2-D2?

The bank I would say yeah absolutely not one I would put on display. HOWEVER the Clock Version with Leg is worthy of display with 3po. There has been lots of talk in this thread here:
