No it's not, you just find a store that has a friendly return policy. Having said that, my go-to SE Asia stores are all sold out of this figure. Probably the commerce section + patience will be your best option.

Yeah, there have been quite a few people with flaws on this figure - some minor, some more major. It's a figure that shows every imperfection. Going with a retailer with effortless returns is a good idea. This fig has also been out a while so I'm guessing not many swap-out parts from Tamashii.

That's been the problem with this figure,, there never were any swap-out part replacements - it was either acceptable our of the box or the whole thing had to be returned.

Well, my customs charge wasn't too bad - just VAT and the Parcelforce fee of £8 (for what exactly?) amounting to less than £20. If the seller had marked it at the correct price it would have been almost £80 so I feel I had a lucky escape!

Well done sir!! I got mine for $280 from amazon 2 years ago , no issues except for a dent and small crease in the box. Honestly if you own this there is no need for the SS 3po . I think SS may have patterned theirs from the Tamashi. I am glad SS is doing one for the people that can't afford the Tamashi or don't want one made from die cast metal. Also with SS doing one that means 4-LOM can't be too fair away .

Yeah, great image, Parrasmaniac! Looking at your photo, it really demonstrates how much Threepio comes closer to real life as a die-cast figure with all his metallic surfaces. Thanks for sharing.
