I was going to buy it before I saw the film now after seeing TDKR I may buy two--one to display, one to store for posterity's sake. I know that will be a lot of money (and space) there but this vehicle is going to be just like the trilogy is now--a classic.

Always thought this aerial vehicle is so awesome.

Umm, now can I ask a question to all of you who are buying not only this but tons of other stuff. I read that many of you will be selling off portions of your collection to either afford or make room or both. I also notice that this is a cycle that gets repeated. So its really more like your "renting" these collectables. Why? Why buy this or what ever is currently the apple of your eye, only to sell it next year with the latest announcments?? I don't sell a damn thing. I pick & chose carfuly what I really want & can afford.

I'm not in the business of "renting" toys.

How big would this actually be in 1/6 scale anyway? I am curious how much room it would take. A lot of its size, going by the movie, comes from parts that are higher up so I feel like the base of the vehicle shouldn't take too much room. I am guessing it could easily fit on top of a detolf.

im guessing at least over 50 inches in length .

A detolf? Singular? No way. The tumbler needs two at least, this thing is bigger than two tumblers.

I am selling things but I never bought anything with the expectation that I would sell it down the line. I agree with your point. If I suspect it is an item I am likely to sell later so as to afford something else I will at the very least think hard about whether I should bother buying it in the first place.
