I'd really need it with the subtitle track on to fully appreciate Bane's dialogue...

Now this I don't get, because we don't speak English in my country and yet I can understand him fine. He sounds like Sean Connery to me.

You've almost got to tune your ears to his voice at the very beginning, as it takes a bit of getting used to.

Sean Connery is from a place thirty miles from here and Bane doesn't sound like that!!!
It's not a crit of the movie. But I'd say that each time Bane spoke I usually understood only about 2/3rds of what he said. I got the gist.
But with only a bit less distortion it would have been a bit easier to understand.
As I say I'm not knocking the movie. I loved it.

Really? Because that's what I have in mind whenever I listen to him speak in the movie. Distorted maybe and lacking the accent, but he sounds like Sean at certain points in the movie, to me at least.

I remember thinking he sounded like if Sean Connery voiced Darth Vader.

LOL

Btw, I am more and more inclined to buy the pod after watching the movie. Btw, in the Dark Knight and in this movie, no spoilage intended, the front wheel can rotate on parallel axis, is that the case with this toy? Anyone who has the 1st version, could you please tell me if the articulation is present?

Technically they showed in the new film that both wheels rotate on parallel axis, not just the front as we saw in TDK, theres a scene in this one where its shown to spin both wheels in order to rotate the whole bike faster.

I don't believe any toy version of it hot toys or otherwise does it though.

Just realized that I posted the comment in the "The Bat" thread instead of the bat pod one. Silly me.

Thanks for clearing that up, Magnuz. It's not a real biggie though, as long as it looks detailed and in proportion with the figures, who am I to complain.

Been reading a few pages back... people are willing to pay up to $1000 for The Bat. Incredible! I guess the price is justifiable if the thing is not made out of plastic.

A somewhat interesting observation based on reviews on YouTube, people are loving these huge toys because they have really bright mesmerizing LED lights. Anyone else notice that? If The Bat comes with a
nuke ball thingy on a wire that can attach to the bat
and has LED lights all over it, people would LOVE it even more.

It'll have to be made out of a light material though if they're talking about suspending it from your ceiling.

Since it doesn't have wheels which means no rubber parts, I reckon it wouldn't be that heavy. All they have to do is make sure there aren't too many metallic bits. Surely they put this into consideration. Having a flying vehicle toy that can't be suspended from ceilings would be the same making the tumbler and the bat-pod with the wheels fixed.

Well they could always include a clear plastic stand that extends it into the air. That would be a nice touch too.

I remember thinking he sounded like if Sean Connery voiced Darth Vader.

It was overly apparent that they went back in postproduction and tweaked his dialogue... either having Hardy rerecord lines and even fading the background music down during his dialogue.

This was most noticeable in the plane-jacking sequence at the beginning.

The bat was actually like a helicopter I wonder if hot toys will include the moving blade underneath.

Hopefully Hot Toys makes this actually capable of prolonged flight. That way instead of using wires I could just have it stay suspended in mid air for the ultimate display.
