Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

hey guys i am going to buy two sculpts that Imaresqd1 put up for sale the other day but don't know who i am going to ask to paint them, anyone have a idea of who i should get?

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Josh (Darkartist81) is great... like all customizers it takes time, but he's who I'm using.

You also have:
Figuremaster Les
Kuato
Customikey
Darren Carnell
and many more...

I really don't want to be a bother to anybody but also don't want to wait a half a year to get a head painted. Who would you recomend for a terminator head?

just pm the artists GB listed............they should be able to give you an approximate timeline...........then make your decision. any one of those listed and others that arent are going to do a great job. but look around in the customs threads as well to see who takes commissions or would consider it.

Well... in six months time you might be able to teach yourself to paint :lol

Waiting is part of the game with custom work; if you want the best result you have to wait for it.

Although I think there is a commission thread in the custom section, you could state what you want and how fast... see if you get any takers that way.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

the first thing I usually do when deciding to customize a figure is send the head off then start the rest , by the time the clothing and everything else is done properly it shouldn't be too long for th head. I did the same recently. Sent a jean reno sculpt off to Les for a Leon figure and am now working on the rest . Its always the best way to go imo !.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Alright guys i'll try that custom section, thanks for the help.:rock2

EDIT: I have one quick question, do i post that i need a painter in the custom discussion section or in the custom commision section?

They sure do but at stupid prices, $180+ delivered is a little steep for a figure that needs an immediate repaint or better yet entirely new sculpt. I remember back in the day picking up one off of Ebay for $85 delivered and another from Toys2 for $120.

Still nonetheless if you really need them you might as well get them from Toys2 because they will be gem mint.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Hi guys ive been following this thread in silence like the old school i listen before i talk. Anyway im currently waiting on a sideshow t-800, a HT true type body, BD head & biker outfit. Now the sideshow t800 im gonna sit him on a bike (if i can find one, he is to mean for a triumph) or display him with a rose box that ill make myself.

The other one is gonna be a battle damage. Whats the best way to damage up the jacket and shirt. Like do you just put holes in them with a pin or a drill or something

and i just remembered im gonna need gloved hands, boots and some weapons for the BD but that'll be for another pay day.
