Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

All right, I'm finished with my T2 custom/kitbash Arnie finally. This is a clean version. Thanks to all the freaks who helped me out with tips, parts and directions on how to build it (amarcord, elvis1976, TheTerminator, Les, etc, etc.).

SSC T-800 Arnold head repainted (by me! No more dark skin and crossed eyes.)
Saturday Toys Biker set (shirt, jacket, pants)
Hot Toys true type body with Apoxie sculpted chest and back to make him buffer and the legs have muscular sleeves.
SSC T2 T-800 belt
Nazi boots I found in store-rooms.com (repainted black)
SSC T-800 base &weapons.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Wow, dutch looks awesome re-painted. Some one should stick the Sideshow T-800 or saturday toys Clothes on that muscle body to see if they fit!!!

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

The jacket will never fit... I did a T1 custom on a Hot Toys muscle body and the jacket barely went over those biceps, so not a chance with the new body.

Ah shame. It would of been prefect given the right fit.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

TheTerminator: Congratulations on your Arnies, they look fantastic! :rock

Looking at you pictures reminded me that I need to paint the zipper on mine silver. I had completely forgotten about it and it does make a difference!

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Dizzy's new modified dutch heads will make for fine additions to the terminator customs!

You know, even though the Arnold-Dutch head sculpt is a very accurate sculpt FOR the Dutch figur and Dizzy's work is amazing, it still doesn't quite do it for me on a Terminator body. It works great for the Predator Arnold but not for Terminator Arnold. I still like either the SSC or the Darren Carnall head sculpt for the Terminator Arnold. But that's just me.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. The Darren sculpt is brilliant, but if you ask me, this will look great as a Terminator 2 Arnie as well:

Miles better than the SSC head, imo. And if not, it can always be used for another custom.

cheers

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

This is my bandolier. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Bandolier.jpg

Bandolier_scale.jpg

I made mine out of leather. Mainly because I like how it looks on a figure this scale. All you need is some leather and superglue.
As I said before these... https://cgi.ebay.com/DR04-1-6-Dr-Figures-M203-40mm-Grenade-Full-Metal_W0QQitemZ350195934796QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51894de64c&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
...are the grenades I used and to me the scale seems good. Not perfect, but good.

BANDOLIER part II:
The Return

So there was some objection to the leather eh?

While this might not be perfect it seems to be the best I can do.
There is some wearing and tearing going on but even the screen used one wasnt in mint condition.
Recipe and size are roughly the same. I just used 'Loctite flex gel' to glue it...

This is a work in progress, so maybe I'll post some more pictures when I get the buckles for it...

Does anyone know the proper number of grenade places in the bandolier?
I counted 11, from prop photos, but this might not be accurate...

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

looks amazing elaman!

i can't wait to post pics in this thread. should be soon now... :)

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

I like that one, elaman. :rock I liked the leather one too but I'm all for screen accuracy and that's definitely a step in that direction.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Unfortunately there is no awesomeness in my collection. The only real custom jobs are T2 and the beer cans of HellBoy. Minor adjustments to all of them but nothing much...

Too much NECA stuff in there rigth now... and the shelf itself is horrible.

Right now I'm in the process of acquiring Enterbay Bruce Lee, but cant dicide over FoF and the NOKIA GOD...

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Got my Terminator head from Darkartist in the mail today... looks great. Sadly I only got to play with it on my lunch hour, but after work I'll snap some pics of my finally completed T1 figures :rock
