Is there any way to un-watch that trailer?

I love their trailer closing money shot of Arnold falling ridiculously from one helicopter to the other. I can just picture a bearded Ewan McGregor saying "I hate it when he does that." Well done Paramount, your trailer made me think of AOTC.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

My god, will you just stop?!
We won´t EVER gonna get a movie as good as T1, or 2. It´s over.
Stay realistic.
But for ****´s sake just take it as it is.
It´s a new start, they wanna make money, of course, yeah...but we get a new time paradox.
Why not?

People here will never stop ripping everything to shreds. They live for it.

A-Dev is gonna lose his S if he hasn't already. wow, a 65 year old Terminator? So they age? Didn't see that one coming, a machine that can age. Nice. Guess you really can grow old together now.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

that guy is fantastic.....watch him in Zero Dark Thirty then come back and comment again...!

Robert De Niro is fantastic in Taxi Driver but he's God-awful in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I don't quite understand your point about how, if, he's fantastic in one film then that ultimately proves that he will be in this. :huh

&, honestly, I have zero interest in ever watching Zero Dark Thirty. But that is neither here nor there.

Looked very good to me EXCEPT the last shot of Ahnold jumping through the sky...sigh

It was explained a while back that another Terminator was sent back to 1974 to rescue a 10 year old Sarah and then his skin aged 45 years between then and 1984. Or something like that.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Serious question.

How is there an old Arnold before the young T1 version?

This old Arnold has been there for roughly 30-40 years just waiting? Wouldn't that be longer than Sarah Connor was even alive?

And finally what did he do all that time? Wander the streets? Get a job landscaping with Danny Trejo? Stripping?

Also, if what I just read above is true, John wasn't born yet but the Terminator was with Sarah since she was 10. So John would have already lived the new timeline to wind up in the future alive and would already know about the changes... right? :lol

I don't like how we give complete bs a pass because "time travel gets convuluted." It's a big reason I don't think DOFP is as amazing as everyone makes it out.

I'm so confused, why in the 80's films could be made with original thoughts and in 2014 we get this? Did somebody in Hollywood send a Terminator back in time and kill off all the creative people when they were kids?

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I was kind of onboard for whatever zany absurdity they wanted to bring to series at this point. Full batcrap, right ahead as kara and I were anticipating a while back.

I was expecting crazy BTTF Part II overlapping of timelines, old Arnold/new Kyle intersecting with events from previous 1984 at various stages of the original movie, a T-1000 thrown into the mix, etc. But what I'm getting from the trailer is that five seconds after 1984 Arnold shows up Pops Arnold shoots him, knocks him on his back and then probably walks up and snaps his neck or something. THE END. ORIGINAL TIMELINE DONE. And then the rest of the entire movie is just good Arnold against a T-1000. Again. No other twists, just a third retread of the first movie with less charismatic actors.

What little "twist" they had with the old man Terminator and erased timeline they literally just spoiled in the first trailer. So all they were trying to accomplish was:

1. Set the movie in 1984 again.
2. Explain why Arnold is old.
3. Otherwise do the exact same damn movie.

Wow.

Sure looks like. If so, my disappointment in that aspect of it will rival my disappointment when, in T3, the TX's ability to control other machines actually just meant ''turn Arnie's T-800 into slightly conflicted Zombie robot'' instead of taking advantage of the opportunity to show a bad@$$ T1 T-800 again.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

If advanced AI and self-perpetuating machines can't take out a few thousand soldiers hanging on by a thread, they don't deserve to inherit the future.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Why does Pops tell the T-800 "I've been waiting for you." How is that tactically advantageous? "Good" Arnold in T2 never said stupid pointless crap like that before engaging an enemy.
