Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Yeah, in the early/mid-90's after T2 came out no one I knew hoped for another Terminator movie that had two cyborgs trying to protect/kill someone in the present time. We all wanted future war (if anything) and that was it. But even then it would have been just for ****s and giggles because we already knew the outcome.

Pretty much. Its really the only reason I dont hate TS. At least they tried to take us where the story needed to go ( if it were to even continue).

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

There's only one story I want to see and that's the future war. A story that revolves around Connor, his rag tag team of soldiers and Skynet. The bridge that gives us our 1984/1995 "present" stories. The original prologue from James Cameron that featured more insight on the war (that was described as icy cold and frost bitten guerrilla fighters, not unlike Washington at Delaware in T2's screenplay), Skynet's defeat, it's facilities, the cold room storage and time displacement equipment is what I want to see, none of this parody, present day ****.

If theres only one Terminator film Id like to see James Cameron work on again, it'd be this one that you described. I want to see a future war damn it!!

I think was it Difabio earlier that said despite the douchery in this moofy, that HT is gonna milk the T5 teat.

I bet they don't. :lol

Maybe old Arnold & another endo - that's it.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I personally prefer T2 to The Terminator. But we've been seeing Terminators as protectors ever since. It's all been played out, none more so than that concept. What, humans can't do the job anymore? Is that supposed to be some kind of wry social commentary?

Oh ****. :slap

Yeah, T2 is pretty much a big budget remake of the first film with Arnold playing the hero, and part 3 fallows the same formula. The only thing they haven't done is having someone from the present traveling to the future to win the war.

I'm 99.9% positive this is going to happen in this movie. :lol

That little makeshift room where the "a-dev" control panel is looks like a custom built, present day time machine. I bet they go all Sarah Connor Chornicles with this crap.

Nonsense, I demand a jai Courtney figure!!! He's this generation's Marlon Brando and the greatest thing to happen to cinema! :pigfly:

You've got better luck with Matt Smith; he's already had a figure made of him, so maybe Dr Who teleports alongside the time displacement unit in this one just because he's a time lord & he can. :lol.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

What was with the early 2000 movie posters and reflections in the eyes?

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I think the new T-1000 looks cool. Not 'better' than Robert Patrick but cool nonetheless.

Jason Clarke as John Connor looks freaky, not in a good way.
