Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

After years of avoidance, maybe I'll finally watch it. :lol

Do yourself the favor.

Probably.

This has a lot to do with the hate. I've never seen LAH in its entirety, but I take it it's supposed to skewer action heroes and action movies? It may have been ahead of its time, too smart for its own good (all of the usual cliches). People weren't ready to peer behind the curtain (oops, there's another cliché). At least I wasn't.

JP's release didn't help either.

Arnie's a clever, shrewd dude. He's been in on the joke from the beginning.
I rewatched it a couple years back, with some thoughts that maybe folks had given that movie a bad rap over the years. But it's really just not a very good movie, though it has some bits and pieces that are fun. There was potential there with the concept though.

Also..

..thankfully the outstanding MMS117 doesn't suffer from that sheet. :family

*Must.....resist...must....* :D

Seriously though I dunno what the **** happened, why Yulli suddenly decided Arnie had this massive protuberance around the back of his skull considering she didn't sculpt it that way on MMS117 or MMS136.

She has an unannounced infatuation with silver backs? :huh :lol

I guess it just reminds us all that HT ain't the messiah company some of us used to shout from the roof tops at one point.

I still think ALL their Arnold heads / faces, are too stout & not slender enough.

Agreed with all sir. Well, 'cept maybe the DX10, I think that was a slender face....unfortunately the side view is a trainwreck in terms of shape (and the primary basis of my mock-up above)

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Yeah, I know what you mean, but the DX10 head is just a fail all round as far as I'm concerned. The weird PERS, the lack of facial texture, & the mini afro (plus Kong dome) makes it bin worthy.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I must of been wearing blinders when I got DX10... and thought the head was good. :pow

I hope Matrix's fro gets tapered down. Were definitely getting stuck with the underscaled body.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Commando is such a classic Arnold film. However, I really have no need for a John Matrix figure.

They should just pull their frigging finger out & give us Conan already. :gah:

We all wear those when we get a new figure in. Well, most of us. I count myself among.

This is why I find the opinions expressed in 'just got this figure' youtube reviews utterly useless. Everything is 'awesome', any flaws are either not brought up or they are dismissed all too readily. Those videos are only good for seeing a figure in hand before you have it yourself.

More Arnie figures, more gooder.

And some of us have more than one of DX10. How many you got? :lol

I think it's pretty good looking, only with the glasses on. I doubt they'll touch that look of Arnie again anytime soon. Were stuck with what we got.

I think the 1/4 Endo was the only figure in recent memory, I didn't like right out of the box. Goddamn horse teeth...

:exactly:

I never give a **** about their opinion, and I use them for the exact reason you stated.
