Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

They should have made Genisys a few years back when everyone was still in their prime.

I'm actually pretty stoked for this.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Holy **** Arnold walking up to guys in trucks and telling them to get out. :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

And the one guy did! :lol

**** it I just want to go see Genisys and have fun along with Arnold now.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

This has been the only piece of marketing to make me want to see Genisys. Sadly I think this will end up being better than the film...

I had the same thought :lol

That was excellent. Also in a major nerd moment that was the first time I've ever heard Arnie refer to ''T-800''! :yess:

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

The one time his one liners post T1/T2 actually worked and served a purpose, go figure! :lol

Arnold has always done more for his fans than stuck up Stallone.

My favorite part was when he told the truck driver to "get out" and he did. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I still can't believe they're using this human Lima Bean for Kyle Reese.

I'm just glad that in this timeline, even during a post-nuclear war, Kyle still finds time to hit the gym every day. Something the original Kyle wasn't able to do, since he was too busy doing dumb stuff like fighting a war, hiding, not getting to shower, killing rats for food and trying not to get killed by infiltrating T-800s.

I wouldn't watch this one guys, another moment spoiled. I keep watching them because I feel like It's already spoiled for me at this point but I've honestly never seen so much of a movie given away before release before.

Funny how the in first two movies the protagonists spend the majority of their time trying to get people to believe that they're trying to save the world from nuclear eradication and an impending war with machines, to the point of Sarah getting herself locked away in a mental asylum. But in this timeline Sarah can totally convince someone with one line of dialogue. "No time to explain. You can't just go around talking to people. There needs to be some explosions. Trust me on this."

I had the same thought :lol

From that clip it's easy to see that Arnie can drop into and out of the T-800 character at the drop of a hat. He has that character perfected. The problem is the writers telling him to say and do stuff completely out of character for the T-800. I wish Arnie would step up to the writers and tell them that a T-800 wouldn't do/say that when they try to make him do something out of character. He had the balls to step to Cameron over the whole "I'll be back" line in T1, and, even though Cameron shut him down, at least he showed some initiative on how the character should be played.

That said, I have no real interest in this movie other than being a fan of Arnie. I told my wife I may go see it or may not, and she said we were. She's an even bigger Arnie fan than I am, but we both know the movie's gonna be horrible. I'm just prepping for Terminator 3: Part 2. Everything post T2 (until Cameron and Wisher write and direct something) is just big budget fan films.

Oh I know. It has a long way to go before being on par with the flashback sequences. I'm just saying it looks better than any attempt at recreating the future war since those flashbacks. When the guns are fired they have an 80s sound, they shoot purple plasma/laser stuff, there are actual armies of terminators on the battlefield, and it's dark. Terminator Salvation was like the complete opposite of that with it's Mad Max setting.

yeah, but that future john conah still has the luxury to dress his troops with such fancy BDUs. :lol
not dirty hipsters but mean angry hobos at least. give us that. lolz

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Well, I just got back from seeing the Terminator. And that's all the Terminator I need for a long while. Good luck to all you suckers who are going to pay money to see this new one.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

It would have been a 90 minute drive to the nearest theater screening T1. It would have been nice but not 3 hours round trip nice. I'll be catching Genisys with the rest of the unwashed masses instead.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I wanted to see T1, but the closest theatre showing it here is a ten hour drive. Still not paying to see Genisys. I'll just pay for a ticket to Magic Mike XXL, and go to the Terminator screen instead.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

:lol wut

But aren't you then still paying to see it........

Ohhhh, you meant T1, disregard. :lol

Right, is that what you meant....:lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Just saw Arnold's prank video, what a cool guy he is. Totally made my day. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

That Ahnuld prank video is amazing, it's a mixture of his movies and great publicity stunts like that that have endeared him to his fans.

Nice, I'm hopefully going to see it soon too.

And I ain't planning on paying for Genisys :lol
