Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Between seeing Arnold himself as a T-800 (probably one last time,) two hours of Emilia Clarke eye candy, and some actually cool cinematography of the future war/present day night scenes (first time since T2 that we're seeing Cameron's "blue tint" again) I'm actually looking forward to seeing this on the big screen. I imagine it will be a heck of a good time, one way or another.

Hell yeah, me too! :yess: I'm going to avoid the trailers so I don't go in hatin. :lol

Yeah, aside from the whopper spoilers from the second trailer and theatrical poster I see that apparently new things are still being revealed, even this week. So I've been skimming over the last few pages and haven't clicked on any new clips or TV spots. So I guess there might actually be a surprise or two for me when I go see it.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I haven't watched any trailers past the second or third...I forget...but I stopped after the shocking amount of plot spoilers. Unbelievable. :slap

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

It's eerie how similar our expectations are:

Between seeing Arnold supposedly playing a T-800, but basically playing a parody of himself playing a T-800 (for the second time too many), two hours of Emilia Clarke eye candy, and some video game merging with a music video cinematography of the future war/present day night scenes (first time since T2 that we're seeing Cameron's "blue tint" again) I know I'm going to be kicking myself for not being able to resist seeing this on the big screen. As enduring movie memories go, I imagine it will fall somewhere between 'seeing what became of Sharon Stone's bangers in Basic Instinct 2' and 'finally finding out who the Man In Black was that broke Michael Myers out of prison at the end of Halloween 5'.

Sorry to anyone eagerly awaiting this (and the above was certainly not intended as a dig at your thoughts on the matter Khev). Not good manners just popping up and spouting a load of negativity I know, but I just watched that 'killer robot in the skin of a senior citizen, struggling to raise a smile, should ensure a fleetingly slight chuckle, followed immediately by an intense feeling of self-loathing for going along with this ****' trailer... and it kind of turned my stomach and killed any last vestiges of good will I had for this revamp/reboot/remake/reallyareyouseriouslygoingaheadwiththisthingthen?.

I do wish I could muster some enthusiasm or optimism for this, but I've seen absolutely nothing whatsoever to suggest this is being made for any other reason than to mercilessly milk the last few drops out of an almost entirely shrivelled up cash cow.

So Khev and I will see you on opening night then. :lol

I agree completely, but I'll be buying a ticket also so we don't help ourselves I guess.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I'm not seeing how any cons against this film negate Arnold as the T-800, Clarke as Sarah, and Cameron's blue tint. I'm just taking it as another "T2-3D the Ride" but as a full length movie. Already looking forward to the after party.

I sat through T3 and Salvation so it'd be silly to miss this which already looks more entertaining than those two.

I can't wait to see it. It has kills, it has cyborgs, it shows the time displacement machine, it has cool villains, and it has Arnie. Bring on the HT awesomeness too!

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Not at all interested in figures personally but at least Chronicle are making some cool stuff from the movie, they may turn out to be the silver lining of the whole thing if the movie sucks as bad as expected.

She's cute, and the Terminator looks like a total perv next to her :lol

That terminator is smiling :lol

Goddamn she is way hotter in real life than in GoT.

I wouldn't be so sure...

She is hot either way :drool

Example #1: old Harrison as Indy in Crystal Skull
Example #2: old Harrison as Han Solo in TFA
Example #3: old Fisher as Leia in TFA

Yeah, everyone old should just go away forever or just die already. How dare they try to entertain us. :rolleyes2
