Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

It's sad to see Arnold getting old. Same as anyone else I care about.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I'm not seeing how any cons against this film negate Arnold as the T-800, Clarke as Sarah, and Cameron's blue tint. I'm just taking it as another "T2-3D the Ride" but as a full length movie. Already looking forward to the after party.

I sat through T3 and Salvation so it'd be silly to miss this which already looks more entertaining than those two.

It's a paradox of sorts. On the one hand Arnold as the T-800 is the only reason I'm arsed seeing this in the cinema, yet on the other hand he will also be....possibly the primary source of my frustration with this movie.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Yeah, everyone old should just go away forever or just die already. How dare they try to entertain us.

More like: How dare they constantly regurgitate tired re-treads of dead franchises instead of devising new concepts and stories.

Mocking the Hollywood system for being creatively bankrupt is nowhere near saying "everybody go die already."

That's just another tired straw man argument. :rolleyes2

Yeah, because the actors are the ones who greelight films and fund them. You're argument has no point at all. Maybe you have a beef with Hollywood execs and that's fine, but actors can only accept the roles they're offered based off what the big wigs approve.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Don't like it when a movie is remade or an old has been is trying to rekindle iconic characters of their past?

Don't watch them. No one is forcing you to.

I love GIJoe. But the first flick looked absolutely terrible. Have never seen it.

Yeah, pretty much.

For as bad as this looks to me, it's not like it will ruin the first or second one if I watch or don't watch it. It's just a movie. It might be a good time, it might be a waste of time, who knows. That's the thing, every franchise has it's fair share of stinkers. Every one of them. Just ignore the movies that you don't like and viloa, no problems.

I really really hope it's good. It would be so awesome to have another good Terminator movie on the shelf.

That terminator is smiling :lol

I wouldn't exactly call this a smile

And that is the Chronicle piece you can order yourself.

Personally, I've been steering clear of all these spoiler spots and only seen 2 trailers so far and I'm actually pretty excited to see another Terminator movie. Regardless of whether it will suck or not there should be at least some cool future war stuff with cool robots going on.

Whenever I see this pic I just LOL! I've noticed they didn't have this guy on the trailers shown also haven't seen him promote the film. Did the guy get axed for having a funny face? :)

I'm hyped. Seriously. It's a goddamn Arnold Terminator film again. I was hyped for T3 back in 2003 too, mainly because I really wanted the figures. Speaking of which HT, if this were a Marvel movie, they would have been teased last Christmas! I think it's because the figures they plan on making might be a bit spoilery, as in levels of damage to the T-800, so we might not see anything til SDCC.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

In the Alan Taylor interview he mentions how Byung-hun Lee would stop and say that the T-1000 ''wouldn't do that'' etc and that he put a lot of thought into it. That's one of the the very few things I've been encouraged by from this film. That actor really looks the part and from what we've seen it certainly seems like he plays it well. ****-all dialogue from what we can gather, a real Terminator.

I actually really liked the director interview, he seemed to know his ****. He had some good thoughts. I dunno.

His comments on Jai Courtney were somewhat limited. And that weird smile at the end of them...were you being honest there Alan?
