I say it's Crystal Skull bad, because both have an old actor returning in a familiar role, stupid humor, and an unlikable young actor, shia and Jay Courtney.

I think Alien Resurrection is worse than Crystal Skull myself. There is literally nothing I enjoy in Alien 4. At least Crystal Skull has some good scenes.

Can't believe we're debating between Crystall Skull and Alien 4 to find Terminator Genisys' new home. :lol

OK, for fun, let's predict TG's dismal opening weekend numbers.

I think JW and IO have this sucker beat obviously. That said, this movie will lie and take advantage of the 4th July long weekend to garner monies. Like 5 days from its July 1 opening.

But where will this land? It has no 3D appeal to me. Nor IMAX, so numbers will reflect that.

3-day wknd: $45 million approx
5 day total: $75 million approx

Well, which one has a dumber name? Genesys, Resurrection, or Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? :lol My vote goes to Genisys with a Y :dunno

I think it will have a strong opening weekend, so I say $75 in 3 days. Most people don't care if it's better than T1 or T2, they just want mindless entertainment and "funny" one liners.

Terminator 3 had a $44 million opening weekend and three of the last four Arnold movies have opened to *single digit* numbers. :horror And I didn't count Maggie since it didn't get a wide release.

But it's Terminator and I do feel like people might be "in the mood" for this new movie so I imagine it'll have at least an okay opening. I bet it will (wrongly) surpass Fury Road's $44 million opening. I'll guess $50-55 million for the first Friday-Sunday.

This site is predicting that it will open at $32 million and earn $102 million total domestic but it also thought JW would make $85 million its first weekend and top out at $233 million. :rotfl

BoxOffice® — Long Range Forecast: 'Terminator Genisys'

If Gilligan's Island was still on television, the Terminator would make an appearance on the island with the Globetrotters.

Kids today need to imagine a 70 year old Christian Bale doing a Dark Knight movie in 30 years where he jokes and repeats lines like "I don't have to save you" to comedic effect.

Was about to post the same thing. They were changed for the dvd remasters. The packaging and everything is beautiful, but those gun shots..... I only watch the original dvd issues.

Same here.

Do you own the regular or extended cut?

I'm assuming the regular.

Don't forget Ultron. :lol

You guys are too harsh- Furious 7 was one of the worst movies I've seen in the last few years and look at the box office- JW was ok and fun but not a great film by any strectch.
TG doesn't have to be good to be a success- but are there enough people who will buy a ticket?

Yeah, I thought Jurassic Park was a dead franchise, but look at the success of JW :lol Maybe TG will find an audience this summer too. I'm pretty sure the film will do great in China.

Apparently there's something in the movie called ''Genisys'' - I'm guessing a technology that enables the new T-3000, T-5000 or whatever it is.
