What about the future war?
It's the best future representation we've seen after T1 and T2.

why couldn't they just do a future war movie then? because of Salvation? did Salvation ruin everything?
Just young Pops in the 70's. I don't recall old Arnold ever wearing them.
yeah, and its those same t1 glasses. Were they around in the 70's?
6/10 for me.
Better than salvation and T3. "Reese", the new terminator and trying to stop judgment day AGAIN ruined for me. The funny bits are better than the ones in T3, not that cheese.
"Reese" behaves like a little girl and there's nothing memorable in his actions.
The time travel stuff is stupid. Can't believe they are thinking to do a trilogy out of this thing.
T1000, Arnold and the 1984 parts were great.
Currently at 25% on the tomato meter.
No actually those Gargoyles were brand new in 1984 so I wondered about where Pops actually came from. In fact young Pops looked almost exactly like 1984 Police Shootout Arnold. With his databank of who sent him being erased I'm fascinated to see what is revealed in the next movie if it actually gets made.

I just finished watching T2 on the SYFY channel, and there's really no reason for Uncle Bob to "die" in the end. He could easily stay with John and Sarah, as long as Cyberdyne doesn't get their hands on him and the technology...and why would they if they live a quiet life? Nothing changes. Just because he's around, it doesn't mean that judgement day is going to happen. They already stopped the source of the problem, cyberdine, by destroying all the data, research, the endo arm and chip that the company was using for research. Even the creator, Dyson, dies.
He was running on alternate power from the heat of the Steel Mill. He was pretty ****ed up, there's no telling how long he would have lasted considering he could barely move.
So his death was just an assisted suicide? Because just before he he dies, Sarah is like, "it's over" meaning the future is safe, and then Uncle Bob is like "No, there's one more chip, and it must be destroyed" implying that in order to save the future, he has to die.
Something I've been thinking about, Arnold looks and behaves like a machine. The new terminator is just some guy with super powers. Doesn't feel or look like a machine at all.
I'm still digesting the movie.

I figured T-800 knew it was a goner at that point and instead of risking shutting down and having them potentially leave his body at the Steel mill as evidence (which would be substantial for the future), he opted to just finish himself off right there.
Also makes for one hell of an ending.
