Even his hair lasted a long time when you consider some men are bald by 30.
Totally dude.. totally - & on top of that, with all the bodybuilding supplements & other 'aids' he used over the years, it's even more impressive. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

T1 "wrapped up" the franchise with it's own opening text.

"The machines rose from the ashes of the nuclear fire. Their war to exterminate mankind had raged for decades, but the final battle would not be fought in the future. It would be fought here, in our present. Tonight..."

There was the future war and the "final battle" that took place in May 1984. The end.

Thread can be closed now. Not that I don't enjoy some of the glorified fan fiction we got since then, like T2 and T3. Well, actually I didn't enjoy T3, but still, you know. . .I support its right to exist or whatever.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

T3 had a naked hot looking T3, that counts for something. :lol

Skynet should make fat chick Terminators, no one will ever expect a fat chick to be a Terminator.

Or like a day laborer Terminator, something other than Arnold. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Doh!

In seventh place, Sabotage tanked with $5.3 million. That's lower than last year's The Last Stand ($6.3 million)—in fact, it's the worst debut for an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie since Red Sonja in 1985. Add in last October's Escape Plan ($9.9 million, with help from Sylvester Stallone) and Schwarzenegger's return to leading man status has been embarrassing to say the least. At this point, it's pretty clear that moviegoers don't want to see "The Governator" in action movie mode anymore.

It also stated "our present", which isn't true considering Arnold isn't a Terminator, Cyberdyne/Skynet and Sarah and John Connor aren't real and the world never ended on August 29th 1997 . . .

Then there's "tonight". Doesn't Terminator take place over the course of several days? T2 still completely valid.

I wish they wouldn't promote misleading information like this all the time. $6 million dollars in 1985 =/= $6 million dollars in 2014. Anyway. . .

Rosie O'Donnell from "Riding on the bus with my Sister" should be the mold.

Time displacement creates parallel universes, opening text refers to those whose "present" is in alternate universe created by said displacement. The "tonight" that the text refers to references the night Sarah crushed the T-800 in the hydraulic press, standard storytelling conventions allowed them to back track a couple days before showcasing the final showdown. T2 still invalid.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Why you guys gotta be special? Why no like T1, T2 hate T3, T4 like normal people? James Cameron made T1, T2. He decide what valid. T2 valid.

Well according to the studios that own the films they're all "valid." Parts 2-4 were just shoehorned (and not always very smoothly) into the self-contained story that was T1. It doesn't mean they can't all be enjoyed.
