Here's your naked terminator (Hopefully)

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Every role that Arnie has played since his come back have been perfect for both his age and his style, i just don't see why or where a 60 year old Terminator would be an asset to either the resistance or Skynet. The plot point of having a geriatric cyborg just doesn't grip enough for me....even if it is Arnie.

I'd much prefer Arnie to play John Matrix rescuing his grand-daughter....

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Would be funny to see old man Arnold face off against old man Biehn and old man Patrick. But I couldn't hope to take that seriously.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Arnold could be the old homeless guy in the alley that gets his dirty track pants stolen by the next protector that falls out of the time displacement unit.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Well, they could just go full on cult classic with it and take Evilface's advice about "protecting Sarah Connor's Grandparents." One part Terminator, One part Bubba Ho-Tep, all awesome.:lol

Or old man Ford vs old woman Fisher vs old man Hamill vs old man Daniels vs old man Williams vs old man Mayhew vs old man Baker vs old man Prowse. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

The dross that was T3 and Salvation has not affected the original two's legacy so this one won't either.
:exactly: First two are canon and TSCC is good enough to consider, but everything else is a bad joke. Moving on.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

come on Arnold the time is right to play King Conan and get it as close as possible to the '82 version or even play a veteran Dutch in a new Predator movie but the Terminator movies should be left alone.

Seriously the Terminator is pretty much the one iconic character that is stupid for him to revisit. Be an old Dutch, or Conan, or Matrix, Tasker, Slater, etc., but just NOT the Terminator. :duh :slap

I want to see him as the old man principal of the school where he had to teach in Kindergarten Cop.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

Not that any of the arguments against it are going to stop a single person making them from being in a theater within the first week of release. :D

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

I am gonna be there opening day. I'm gonna pre-order the figures, download the score, get the comics, and absorb any and all info about the film I can. There's nothing like the buzz when a new Terminator flick comes out. I remember the hype when T3 was coming. Yes, the film blew, but McFarlane's figures were so awesome back in the day.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

I will definitely be there to watch it the first day Netflix streams it. . .or at least the first week or so, probably.

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

I wonder if they'd be so many defending Arnie's return as the T-800 if it hadn't been Arnie, what if Lou Ferrigno had played the Terminator in 1984?

Re: Terminator: Genesis (July 1st, 2015)

I think a 65 year old Arnold Terminator is such a stupid idea, and yet I'd be lying if said, deep down, I wasn't at least a little excited to see him back in the role. This franchise stopped making sense a long time ago anyway. :dunno
