Ive heard some bad things about this, but Im still going to see it. Im always down for slasher films and I'll tell you right now no matter how dumb it may turn out I'll still buy it when its released.

I seen this morning on the Today show the movie critic guy on there actually said that people were upset because this was being released so close to the most recent school shooting. They actually said we need a change when it comes to violent movies such as this.

I was just like...wtf what does Texas Chainsaw have to do with a school shooting?

I'm sure the studio will ask the next bat ***** crazy maniac when he's going to go on a rampage to better set their release date.

Zombies halloween 2 didnt come out in australia which after seeing the movie wasnt a bad thing

The new chainsaw looks ok but there hasn't been a lot of horror movies come out latley so I was looking forward to it. Stupid Australia not supporting horror movies

I'm pretty sure Zombies H2 was released in Oz, it just went direct to DVD cause it was such crap.
I recall Texas chainsaw 2 being banned years ago for sexualized violence and Nightmare on Elm St 3 for the gore (puppet scene and the syringe scene) in Queensland anyway. Both were eventually released and then even aired on TV though Nightmare on Elm St 3 was heavily censored when aired on TV.
I can't find any info on the release of this new Texas Chainsaw, maybe straight to DVD. Didn't think we were still banning a lot of movies these days. I hope not anyway.

I saw this and I liked it. Even though it was just a bad sequel it had it's moments. I especially liked that it was sorta fun...not like bleak torture and rape that is so common in modern horror. It also had that 80's horror sense of morality and justice that if you are a **** you will probably be slaughtered. Those movies had heart. Plus, I got really excited when Leatherface put on his tie at the end of the movie.

I'd recommend it if you have low expectations for it.

Saw this tonight and actually liked it. Its one of the more logical sequels/reboots to a horror series. By that, I mean it wasn't huge stretch kind of sequel that so many horror movies make. Not sure they could make another sequel based on this one, but it connects to the original nicely and wraps things up well.

Wasn't bad. Kinda similar to Devil Rejects. I'd give it a 6/10. Maybe a half point more if the main chick fully unleashed her puppies.

My wife was getting a bit freaked when Leatherface was chasing people. :lol

Was funny, when this first came out I asked my buddy, who generally like the trendy horror stuff, to see it and he wanted to see This Is 40 instead. I said fauk that. Well seeing them both this week, Texas Chainsaw is by far the better movie.
