Thanos and Mistress Death Polystone Diorama

OK, so I was a bit confused by the preview of the Thanos comiquette. I wasn't sure if it was a preview of a separate comiquette or if the preview was changed to be this dio. So, I put up a thread in the ask SS section. Is the preview a separate comiquette or this Dio?

Dusty stated that the comiquette preview was just that. That means that a true 1/4 or 1/5 scale SS Thanos is still on the way. Every one seems happy this piece is 20" big. I'm sure this includes the base. That means that Thanos is roughly Bowen scale. Not too happy about that. I will be looking forward to the Thanos comiquette with great anticipation.

Beautiful dio. Extremely easy order for the Ex.
Now the loooooong wait until Dec 2010/Jan 2011.

16" with base included. No matter how you slice it, this is still roughly bowen scale. I'm not knocking the piece, I just think the Bowen Thanos looks better than the SS Dio. I don't need another 1/6 or 1/7 cale Thanos and Death. I just wanted a 1/5 or 1/4 scale SS Thanos comiquette. I'm just glad SS still has THAT piece in the pipeline.

Congrats to all the people who scored the Dio. I will say that the base on this piece is KILLER!

In the video, he says its in Comi scale, so technically, this is the Comi, I doubt there will be a stand alone Comi for this character. The only reason it is considered a dio is cause it has 2 characters, but they are in Comi size. If your waiting for another Thanos piece, you will prolly be waiting for awhile, and it will likely be either a pf or a LSB of him. I have to admit, I know nothing about the character, but I ordered with the intent to keep, lady Death sold me on this one, really bad ass piece that will be hard to get if it has a descent ES size.

If I understand from the back stage pass this is a Comiquette, but because there are two characters it becomes a Diorama. The characters are in Comiquette scale.

And a 20 inch Pyjama wearing PF Thanos will beat a 16 inch Comiquette Thanos ANY ____ING DAY. A 4 inch base does not 1/4 scale make!

Not a chance! PF's blow and Bowens Thanos can't be beat by anything wearing PJ's. That's the truth. Live with it!

I just can't see Thanos wearing the fabric and looking as ominous.

What would be the best is 1/4 scale Thanos without PJs! Sad that some comiquettes are 1/5 scale, just underwhelming in size.

I have no problem with that. To me Bowen's Death still looks good. I already have a Bowen Thanos and Death that I'm very happy with. I don't want or need another 2 statues of the same characters in the same scale. The only thing thing about this Dio that I LOVE is the base. The base is sick. However, I'm not spending almost $400 on just a base. I wanted a 1/5 or 1/4 scale SS Thanos. That is worth the wait for me. Congrats on picking up the piece. It does look good. If i didn't own the Bowen versions, I would have picked the Dio up.

In the end, it's comiquette or bust for me!
