Thanos and Mistress Death Polystone Diorama

For those of you that question the light up feature....The switch for lighting up the gauntlet is located under Thor's hammer on the base. I just saw pics over at SF that showed the switch/button location. There is no doubt that the piece on display at SDCC is a light up Thanos.

The only real question that remains is whether or not the light up gauntlet will be an EX feature only. I am sooooo glad I have the EX on order. This will be one SICK piece when it is released.

Not yet man. I still need to make some time to take some decent pictures. I'm doing tile work in the house right now so all my statues are either covered up or put in their boxes. I'll get those pics up asap though.

Thanos HAS a small head compared to the rest of his body! Its not poor sculpting...its just how he is.

Wasnt overly impressed by Bowen's in person. The colors just didnt pop or something...

The colors on the Bowen's piece always struck me as being off...however, I think the head sculpt is dead on. When I think of Thanos, IMHO the Bowen piece is a better representation of his face.

The sculpt is really good. Yeah, the face is the weakest part of the Sideshow version. When I first saw it I didnt like it. Then it kinda grew on me and now Im a fan. Of course I havent seen it in person..so I might change my mind.

Why not? It would just be a super exclusive then. The reason I say this is because I can't think of a statue SS released (with both a EX and a REG edition) that had light up features in both editions of the same statue. Man-thing and stealth IM had no EX edition. That is why they came with light up features. The only piece I can think of with both a REG and EX is the X-men vs Sentinel 1. The EX was the only one that had the light up feature.

It will be interesting to see what SS decides to do in this case. All I know is that... if only the EX has the COH Death and the light up gauntlet with an ES of 600, all hell is going to break loose. I believe all the people that cancelled or that were on the fence will have a hell of a time picking this up later. Glad I have my EX on order!

Ooh, a pic that actually shows it. Now all I need is for TOE to post pics of the switch like he said he was gonna a few pages back, and I'll believe (or for Sideshow to do some official announcement).

Don't get me wrong. I really do want to believe. I've had this on PO since day one, and I'm really excited about it regardless.

Anyway, that pic is from Ironlungs, and if he says it lights up I'll believe just because of that.

This statue will be grail, now that Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet will be making a cameo in the Thor movie or another Marvel movie.

You are correct! That was the only light up REG edition SS piece that I know of. Well, we will find out soon enough if that's the case with Thanos.

I also believe it was mentioned in one of the SDCC videos that Jack Sparrow PF will also feature a light up lamp (on the base) for both regular and exclusive version.

Maybe SS is trying to increase their quality afterall.
