If this was 1/4 scale I would agree with you, but some are waiting for the PF methinks. This is still a good rendition and the light up is nice.

Okay, enough about Thanos. Let's talk about Mistress Death. Who made the better, if not the best representation?

I prefer Bowen's Thanos, but Sideshow's exclusive Death blows Bowen's out of the water.

mistress is great on the ssc piece. also Thanos's color on the ssc piece is better imo.

never noticed before but the bowen Thanos looks as though he's admiring his manicure, while the ssc version is checking out his beatch

the SS Thanos kinda looks like the mouth of Sauron. showing all his teeth and his gums...
would be awesome if they had a switch out head of Thanos too, so easy to customize then...

Wait a minute you rail on those of us you don't like the face then in the very next sentence say you hate the knee pads. Don't you think that's being a bit hypocritical? It seems that you have just as much hate for knee pads as I do for face.

When did I rail on anyone? Read my post...I said I don't understand the hate for his face. I don't like the knee pads. That's my opinion. I don't see how that's hypoctitcal. I never said you or anyone else don't have the right to dislike his face. I just don't get it.

The biggest complaint I hear about his face is that his grin is too big. I just think it is a minor thing. I own the bowen Thanos and agree that it is a better face sculpt. However, the size of his grin will not stop me from picking up this great piece. Just like a few inches of hair will not stop me from adding the Hulk comiquette to my collection.

As for the knee pads...how often does the Mad Titan kneel? Much less, I'm sure, than he grins.

Maybe he has a pair of golden rollerblades. The Infinity Gauntlet on wheels is a scary thing.

The Bowen one has definitely the
better and most accurate face.. But everything else on it, Sideshow wins hands down.

I some what agree, while I do prefer the Bowen face, the knee pads and thigh pads are just not right. The base is great along with the light up feature and Mistress Death is a nice added feature. The color on this looks to better but I'll reserve that judgement when I actually see it in person. The Bowen Thanos color looked good in the advertisment as well but the final product was not that color. Personally I could overlook the knee pads but I can't just get pass that face. Its like going on a date with a person with great body but a more than ugly face.

I do like SS intrepretation though. One thing I dislike about Bowens is the god awful baby blue color he has on. SS is in royal blue & the colors just seem richer. Mistress Death EX is also far superior to Bowen by a mile.

You are correct that the worst thing about the Bowen Thanos is that horrible baby blue. There would have been less angst if the color was right. The Bowen sculpt would have been good if the color was reflective of the advertisment. I think Sideshow has gotten the color right on this one provided we get what we see in the advertisment. As far as Mistress Death is concerned I think Bowen's and Sideshow's are about equal, after all she is a dead women walking around, Can you make her look any more dead looking?

I'm not usually inclined to prefer Bowen to Sideshow, but I agree here. The weird design for Sideshow's Thanos face doesn't work for me. Seeing as how they chose nearly the exact same pose as the Bowen statue (which is kind of depressing in itself), I would go with Bowen were I interested in this character in this size. . .which I'm not. Presumably, this dio has figures roughly the same size as Bowen statues.
