well got mine today and everything looks to be good, had to do the old clean the batteries up etc. to get the lights to work and of course it's got all the white polystone powder everwhere .

the only small thing would be that i can't get my battery cover back on properly since the sticker is not in the correct position and is partially covering the hole. so the covers a no go.

My battery cover is messed up too...the pegs on the cover don't line up. I just forced it back on...one peg might break off in the future, but oh well.

Just got my very first Sideshow order in today. Edition number 14 of 600. Busted shield.

I filled out Sideshow's form for a replacement. Hope to hear back from them before the end of the week, but it sounds like they're probably inundated with these requests.

i think this busted shield thing is bad enough ssc should, or aught to make new shield or new bases, cause i can't see them having enough replacement to help everyone out.

i for one wouldn't take a silly $25-$50 discount for a damaged piece like this.

yeah i'm thinking i'm just going to take a razor and trim it up a bit since i doubt i'll get any from ssc anyways. either that or peal off the label and reposition it. but with my luck i'd end up breaking something, so i'll just trim it.

It's never good when your piece arrives busted. At least he should get the exact same low number on his new base. Everybody sing along now...."and the waiting is the hardest part".

if not, he could at least take the label off of the original and put it on the replacement base.

Yeah, not sure why they didn't go the magnet route with Cap's shield. Magnets would make it more expensive, but it would have saved them time and money in the long run. Of course hindsight is always 20/20.

They don't even need magnets. Just use a peg and a hole call it a day. Easy as sex.
