I know they are pissed, but dammit, how many statues have they made with pieces that go onto the bases that use PEGS, how hard was it to do the same thing they do for every other piece?

Also how much are they even offering to those that they don't want to send a replacement for?

They offered me $25 of Scarlet Witch for the breast paint issue, and to me on the Thanos piece, $25 is not going to cut it for a $400 statue, I'm either going to want a new base or something along the lines of $50-$75 off, but thats just me.

HAs anyone gotten an actual refund offer on this piece yet?

Yeah, the more I think about it, what it boils down to is not JUST a broken shield. Since they GLUED it to the base, what I really have is a broken BASE. What I also have is a light up feature that flickers because of some defect in the statue. I know if Im in a retail store that is selling a product and they have flawed ones, they usually discount them 30-50% off and call them "as-is" purchases. In this case that translates into a refund of up to $175, which you know there is no way in hell they will do.

So yeah, I guess you are right that even $50 is a joke all things considered.

I am in the exact same boat as you - broken shield and light up feature doesn't work. I consider it a broken base, since the shield is part of the base. This is my first time through the broken merchandise process with SS. Let's hope they do right by us.

If I remember correctly, when they told me about the $25 refund on my Scarlet Witch, I wasn't given a choice. It wasn't like "Take $25 or we will send you a fixed version", it was more like "We realize this paint issue was on most of our pieces and you're not getting a replacement, here's $25"

And not to mention when they give you a refund, the difference in the price you paid is not eligible for reward points, at least that's what they told me. Lose/Lose situation.

Assuming they are willing to do a replacement, will I be shipping back the entire piece, or just the base? It seems like a waste to ship back 100% of a product when 3% of it needs replacement.

I kinda wish they'd just do another run of shields and mail those out to those in need. I'd be happy to remove the existing shield and affix a new one rather than shipping them the entire statue back (only to possibly receive another damaged piece in return).
