dood, seriously...that new girl doesn't answer her emails very quickly. Also, I just got my flex carnage and there's no QC sticker, meaning it was opened by another person, and upon closer inspection, there's chips all over the damn thing! Most likely a returned piece.

Damn, this is crazy. I have been flexing this, and for the the first time ever, I requested they check it out before shipping. I had a friend of mine on SF that got an unbroken shield and perfectly working lights after requesting they check it before shipping, which prompted me to do exactly the same. He stated that it appeared that they had dug out part of the styrofoam around the shield and that the lights turned on immediately upon plugging Thanos into the base, which speaks to me that they know the issues and are checking them out now.

Man, I feel for all of you that received a damaged piece. All I can say is good luck to all of you with your replacements. You all know how sweet this dio is since you had it in hand. I was lucky enough to receive one with no damage. Thanos and MD look so great. I know this is a pain in the ass....however, this will look great in your collection when the replacements arrive.

I got an e-mail for my replacement Thanos request today. I just asked for a replacement on the Thanos statue because the base was fine. The e-mail stated the body and base are paired up and have to be replaced as a set. It sounds like they are going back to manufacture replacements as they are backlogged and are not expecting them until April 2011. If I want a replacement, they will give me a refund and place an order for a replacement statue when they arrive otherwise I have to send it back and settle for a refund.

What?! Another four months? Well if the wait is that long then I hope that they do it right. Interesting that SS says the base and Thanos are paired up. From an electrical standpoint, they are just basic connectors. Must be another reason.

If so, what does that mean to the run? In essence, it wouldn't be the same piece anymore.

I'd be shocked if they changed the molds. Too expensive. Most likely they will recast, repaint and ship back with better packing materials. Besides, if they changed the molds, can you imagine the outcry from those with the current mold?

No, they are giving a full refund and then charge you again when the replacements come in.

I imagine they would have no issue with refunding you.
I'm sure the piece would inevitably find its way to another collector.
