Hello everyone. I've been a registered member for a short time now but I really don't ever post. I'm hoping some veteran Sideshow collectors can help me with a question. I pre-ordered the Thanos/Death diorama yesterday and I personally think it looks awesome. Sideshow statues, maquettes and dioramas seem to be larger than the average statue I currently own. My question is does Sideshow compensate for the size by making them hollow for shipping purposes? I really love the look of this statue but I don't think I'm going to like it being hollow. Thanks

Yeah, this bad boy showed up at my door Thursday and I can tell you it's definitely not hollow.

sideshow does not typically cut corners. Pieces are heavy and NOT hollow

The estimated weight for every Sideshow statue is 10lbs until it actually ships. I'm sure it will be much heavier.
PF's have been around twice as long as Comiquettes.
Only a noob would think otherwise.
A PF would be so great cos it would be 25% bigger than a POS Comiquette.
How do you get more detail and respect from a smaller statue?
Your logic is flawed when it comes to what makes a statue great. A large piece of crap is just that, regardless of scale. Bowen and Villafane's Logan is 10000000x better than a SS Logan PF. Anyone who says otherwise should just stop collecting NOW! Even though the SS PF Logan is in your precious 1/4 scale, it is a piece of garbage compared to the 1/7 scale Bowen Logan.
What pisses me off is PF lovers complaining about scale whenever SS releases a comiquette. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Stop yer whining and wait for the PF doll to be released. I don't feel bad for any of you.
SS has released all of Marvels big guns as PF's already. Comiquette fans have had to wait forever for the characters they love to be released. Finally, the comiquettes are getting their due from SS. It's long over due!
If the comiquette scale bothers you soooo much, don't buy it! Wait for your 1/4 scale Ken and Barbie dolls. Keep buying just PF's ONLY and you will have NO problems with scale!

I think your logic of what makes a statue great is flawed because you think a small one is better than a bigger one.
The Venom Comiquette at 1:4 scale pees and poops over a 1:5 scale version.

That is my whole point! Size is not what makes a statue great! 1/4scale is not what makes a statue awesome. The sculpt is what makes a statue great. For example....The Emma PF blows. It just SUCKS! That is a fact. IT's a PF and in 1/4 scale and almost everyone hates it. However, based on your logic, it ROCKS because it's a 1/4 scale PF.
I have an idea. Let's take the Bullseye comiquette and increase the scale to 1/4. Let's take it a step further and wrap him up in some fuzzy black and white spandex pajamas. Now, you have a grail based on your logic.
I stand by my original statement. a PIECE CRAP STATUE IS JUST THAT, REGAREDLESS OF SCALE. You just proved my point!
As I said before....keep buying your PF Ken and Barbie dolls only, and you will never have an issue with comiquette scale.
