So G3A may have something to do with a "gallery" of threeA art?

I hope it is not some special event. I simply don't have the time or money to travel to special events and if there is no online way to enjoy these things, either via special bambaland store sale, or virtual viewing experience, then I think they are missing out on an opportunity to get more of my actual spending money and interest.

On September 17th, G3A is coming to us! I don't want to ruin the surprise and stop you from guessing, I'll just say that it has no relation to "game", "gaming" or presenting new line of toys.

It's not a new line of toys. It's "coming" on Sept 17th which given how soon that is doesn't seem likt it would be a live event. It could very well be the announcement for the event coming but I'm kinda lead to believe it's not?

There's already an Ashley Wood gallery, not sure what a 3A gallery would be. My guess would have been it's a new collaboration (3="ThreeZero", A="Ashley Wood", G="???") but that's seemingly not the case as it's not a new toy line.

Who knows. Fun to speculate about which is certainly the goal of this announcement.

The general buzz suggests "Geddes 3A". Maybe a new art book or other collaboration from Ashley's fellow Aussie artist?

Also, cool custom Supreme NOM from zhu (BBICN forums):

7-Hobby is ok. They are US distributors for certain toy lines from China. I don't care for their "stealth" advertising on forums as if they are regular users, however.

Plus their mark up on threeA items is very high. Better to buy direct from threeA, or if you have no choice because you missed the sale, through BSTs with fellow 3A/3AA members.

Yeah but I'm quite interested to know how they manage to get their hands on some Red Devil Sham for open pre-ordering when it was a secret drop during the sale at Bambaland and it is limited to 1 per 3AA account only.

They probably have multiple people/employees who signed up for ThreeAA and then they get reimbursed by company fees.

I've ordered several ThreeA from them and they have always delivered no problems.

They do mark things up a bit, sometimes excessively so, but its a good alternative to eBay, and I trust them with a preorder a whole lot more than random eBay person.

One thing is that they require all the money up front in advance.

This year especially seems that way with KDA, and NTQ among other Toy Fair exclusives.

I've always argued that using colorways of existing toys was more appropriate for the Toy Fairs and Events because that way you still draw in the fans who want their "special limited extra tasty crispy" while not alienating the masses who can't attend. But all these companies will do what they do and ultimately only the eBay flippers benefit. :dunno.

I mostly prefer the non-exclusive releases myself. Still though not really a fan of limited exclusive stuff as a general rule. I've said this before but "limited" has no value to me so all it means is "annoying to buy" which is nothing but a detriment.

Still for some people that is an important aspect of the product so I can't really say they shouldn't exist. I just generally ignore exclusives. There's plenty of stuff in life I can't own, it's just one more thing and that don't bother me.

That's really the only thing that bugs me about Exclusives/LEs. It's not that I can't get it, it's that people who aren't really "collectors" buy them up just to flip them for a profit.

We can argue the sematics of free market and how difficult it is to realistically "police" that kind of thing, but ultimately, it's lame and frustrating that collectors are put into that position in the first place.

Oh I hate the scalper market. It's so stupid. It does nothing but hurt the hobby and it's not exactly the best cost/benefit to making money. At least not if you have sort of skill set.

I agree it's impossible to get rid of, but that doesn't mean I can't hate it and loath people that do it.
