Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

They should have scrapped the ridiculous gimmicky TX and Arnold was better suited to play the bad cyborg in T3, I honestly don't think it would have damaged the appeal of the series at the time that much. Bringing him back as a protector over and over again is just ridiculous.

As for TSCC on cable, I love the idea but I don't think it's remotely possible due to how much the actors have aged plus the low demand for the series (irregardless of the quality).

I kinda wish it was a good arnold vs a bad arnold. two arnolds. Im not even making a joke,
it would have been interesting how two of the same would do against each other. bad arnold could have had the arm weapons but it would have been cool to see arnold playing both good and bad in the same movie.

sometimes i daydream of what the scenes would look like. I Know Genesys did it but it was too quick

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

I'm so spoiled with TSCC that I don't think I'd want them to re-do the series if it didn't have the same cast--they were all fantastic. As for the films, I'd love to see them just leave the franchise alone, but if they were going to keep going, I'd like to see the Terminator be scary again. I want a return to the sci-fi/horror feel of the first one.

they would have to do a remake and no arnold involved

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

On a slight deviation onto toys, I finally have scientific proof the DX10 sucked and has nothing on the MMS136. Been saying that for years. :lol

Note: No BD heads because it didn't worked.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

They love repeating the T2 gimmick, but never the T1 gimmick. T1 was a much "scarier" film since Reese couldn't fist fight Arnie and had to rely on wits and evading. All the punishment put on Arnie, and all it amounted to was a jamed piston in his arm which almost immediately gets fixed. I don't count his bum leg after getting run over since that wasn't intentional.

Having the protagonists severely outmatched is part of the reason I like T1 better.

Only one coarse of action left for the series. Robocop Vs Terminator R-rated-gore fest-CG movie. While those two geezers are still kicking.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

:lol:lol:lol

DX10 was botched. With a few corrections it could of been great, but I'm still in the MMS136 camp that it's the best representation of Arnie to date, even with the wrong hair style.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Will you stop saying that! It's bad enough I can't unsee the jam thanks to you. :slap :lol

It's a solid sculpt, maybe 90% of Arnie... but if he didn't have that syrupy looking goop on his face I'd put it over as number one. I just prefer the 136 more since it's got that intensity.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

I got a ****ing awesome Endoskeleton art print at Wizard World Tulsa this weekend. I'll take a pic of it at lunch and post it.

Yup, engineering wise the DX13 has the 136 beat- but it's the other way around when it comes to overall look and menace. If you could only buy ONE Terminator, I would always say the Tech Noir, with the DX13 closely behind.

I'll come up with a repaint of the DX13 by the end of this year. :lol

I think the paint is fine, a bit tan but that's HT for you. I'm glad you really took to 136 like you did. I still remember you were bouncing the idea of getting it off me. How many do you own of it?

All except another DX13. I'm poorer thanks to you.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Pff. Won't even bother looking that pic unless another DX13 is added.

T2 was a natural progression for a sequel before they wore it out with the later films. Putting a Terminator on the good side enabled the escalation of stunts and so on since the hero character could now plausibly survive them. However repeated escalation just ends up going too far away from the original movie to a point where it just doesn't feel like part of the same movie continuity anymore.

Same with Die Hard, if anything they need to go smaller again, not bigger. So basically what you guys are saying - bring the fear back. It's hard to do that with Arnie playing the goodie Terminator or with there actually being a goodie Terminator at all. ****ing Terminator Salvation, they just couldn't resist could they.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Ah nice. I didn't realize you got a second MMS238. A quality figure, it's just that the face looks too soft, but not big enough and the head is fat, but at least it looks good with the gargoyles on.
