Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Finally finished. Took me around 15 hours to do this one I reckon and around 7000 beads.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Cameron, with his endless obsession with CGI, will probably create a new T-1,000,000 hybrid crap that ironically gets easily defeated by yet another T-800. I'm sick of the new movies making "superior" models being easily beaten by the older ones. A real fight between the T-800 and a T-1000 should last no more than 15 seconds. :lol

To be fair, molten metal defeated the T-1000
And the T-850's power cell defeated the T-X

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

The terminator universe is great.
Many cool stories to tell.
Now just don't give me another Arnold protecting Connor.
Im curious of what Cameron wants to do.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

They could show the point of view of skynet from when the crushed T-800 was discovered to when the missiles were launched....

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Interesting argument:

Agree on many points. I'd for sure love if he greenlit a third season for TSCC. Personally I think that's what should be done with it for the time being, bring it back on TV. I really have lost desire in a 'reboot' even if it were to be directed or written by Cameron.

I too was not overly 'wowed' with the story of Avatar, it was anything but original. Movie yeah was neat to see but still that's all it was, eye candy for the big screen. I somehow don't see him making more than one despite the fact he's shooting them all back to back. If first one tanks (which it probably will) others will be shelved. Besides, you're attempting to make a sequel to the biggest grossing movie of all time, pretty steep order. If it fails to make 500MM domestically it will be considered a flop.

When I first heard about the show in 2008, I was mad and thought it would be even WORSE than T3. Turns out TSCC was the most logical and meaningful step for the Terminator franchise. It furthers the themes of existentialism and technological paranoia of T1 and T2 and gave Skynet a real purpose on why it wants to wipe out humanity. It does so many things right, it would be a disservice if the Terminator lore didn't used the stuff from the show in upcoming Terminator media.

To be honest, just like Robocop- the Terminator franchise is too flimsy and shallow to go beyond the first two movies without making it look stupid so it really takes a special breed of crazy and talent to pull it off, which the writers of the show did. Unfortunately, James Cameron could never pull it off considering where he is now.

The "winning formula" of making Terminator work is when you transcend the premise- T1 did it, T2 did it, and TSCC did it. The rest of the movies mistakenly think that a time traveling cyborg and ridiculous scif fi elements are enough to make it great.

My collection of 1:1 Endoskulls. Missing from photo, Beagle Bill's endoskull and the M1 resin custom endoskull.

What an amazing collection! Although you might wanna fix the neck pistons on the Sideshow bust, they're easy to lock into place with some blue tacks.

Been thinking about doing some 1/4 figures for awhile. Wanted to follow olbertfrog's lead and do the police shootout version. I've got a spare SSC premium format statue, but haven't found it in myself to break it apart. Might have just received the impetus though. Got my new 1/4 Sarah head today. In about a month or so, I'll get my Tech Noir head. Not sure if I'll make a whole figure or just switch out with the police shootout every once in awhile.
