I'll give you Rorschach and even the fact that his mask physically changed, but exactly when did V's mask's expression change? :lol

Yeah, I don't remember Evilface changing expression at all. The lighting and shadows can play with that, but the mask didn't change. At least not until it got shot up a bit.

Check that link I posted above and click not the film tab :wink1:

Man, it's been so long since I last saw V. Really fancy watching it now :lol

his mask changed but did that really affect the emotion?
Regular movie goes will tell you that the mask moved randomly, I mean, yeah the spots moved, but it was all about the body language and the voice.

And the two scenes where he had it off were straight from the comic, They didn't do that to show his face and the emotion, it was how it was done in the comic already.

Why are we getting on Garfield's case tho. Tobey had his mask off all the time. Also wouldn't it look weird of spidey had a cgi mask. In shows and comics his eyes move . In live action that'd be nightmare fuel.

While for the majority of V for Vendetta movie V's mask is just a mask, several scenes have been digitally edited so that the mask moves very, very slightly. The idea was, because people are so used to masks not moving, if they saw the eyebrow go up an unnoticeable fraction, it would make a huge subconscious difference. And it did, obviously. Watch the mask just before the big fight towards the end. It helps that it already looks a bit CGI in its normal form, but watching closely you can see it move the tiniest bit.

I need to see examples of this...... I don't but it!

JEH did a great job as Roschach.

If you look at the scenes of him with his mask on and the scenes of his mask off and compare the emotion conveyed, the unmasked acting will win out, imo

You guys were the ones trolling the Raimi films based on the amount of time Maguire spent with his mask off. Suddenly that's changed when Garfield's unmasked screen time surpassed that? :lol

Lol it did? Last time I checked he was in one movie. Anyway don't remember "trolling " the raimi films. Then again your definition of trolling is completely off.

I thought it looked great. Apparently it was uncomfortable for Hemsworth, which is the main reason he didn't wear it much.

I thought it looked great too. If it was uncomfortable then make it comfortable. They did that for the Spidey mask for the Loki and Odin suffered through their helmets.

That's ok, Thor doesn't even wear the helmet in the comics anymore anyway, until he's way older and becomes King Thor, it's rare to see him using it.

He wore if a few years ago during the JMS run. Disney Must've changed it to fit with the MCU like they do for others now.

:nono You were part of the, "Must troll older Spider-Man films to justify liking new one" crowd. Even going so far as to rant against Celtic for pointing out the obvious similarities that you, yourself even agreed to after a repeat viewing. :lol

I said they weren't perfect but he kept saying they were. He poll tugged raimi movies but knew nothing about the character. He hated spiderman he just wanted to whine. I still stand by what said earlier. Those movie weren't perfect. That doesn't mean I think asm is though.

Another set of images used completely out of context to try and prove another one of your bull**** points. $10 says he's either taking the helmet off there to show Bucky/Winter Soldier that he's Steve Rogers, OR, he's in the Smithsonian, removing the Shield costume to don the TFA one. Neither is for vanity's sake, which is what the argument's about.

When acting with a mask you have to express your emotions through your body actions. Slumped shoulders and lowered head can indicate defeat and sadness. Shaking can indicate anger and frustration. You have to become a more Physical actor to convey your feelings.

The movies have the added advantage that he can speak, music and camera direction. Remember the scene where Spidey webs the criminal on the wall? Garfield did a good job with the silliness Spidey displays when using his web shooters. He danced around, pretended to sneeze, etc. you could see Spidey's emotion through his actions.

Then he snapped to attention and the music even darkened once he focused on the guy's wrist tattoo. You could tell it was a tense and serious moment as was Spidey's attitude behind the mask.
