I like peter being funny in this. They need to slow down with the trailers and info though. I know they are trying to promote the movie but this movie already has a big enough buzz as it is. I hope they dont release any more info on harry or the final battle.

Because it is better to Give Venom his own movie and focus only on him, No Aunt May, No Mary Jane No Spiderman.

That way they can give him the time to tell his story. And then when he joins sinister six he won't just be shoehorn in there

I just want eddie brock venom one way or the other. The fourth movie would be great to have him in. He's a lethal force on his own and pretty much would make great interactions with spidey.

I like the "distraction" part at the end of that clip. I may not be sold on the villains yet but I'm looking forward to the Spider-Man/Peter Parker scenes the most anyway. The fights/action will look pretty and well-choreographed. Hey, if I get some decent villainous character development out of it it's a bonus.

Where is everyone getting the idea that Gwen's going to die cause of her clothes?

From Stone her self, who said in an interview that the movie will follow the comic pretty closely. Given her outfit and the fact that Goblin's in this now, the rest isn't hard to fill in.

Hopefully they do a jealously angle with Pete and Harry.supposely they were friends since they were kids if they build on that it will be more believable that he kills Gwen.

The angle is possibly already there. If Harry's jealous about all the attention Parker's getting from his father and he's being ignored, and Harry finds out he's Spider-Man, then it makes sense that he'd use MJ for bait which easily sets up the accident. Sure you won't have the huge emotional impact the comic did with Parker and the Osborns being so close beforehand, but given the choices made so far in this franchise, that's likely of little importance.

On another note, I'm wondering if they'll finally reveal Parker's genetic engineering in this film, or if that footage was burned.

Well Venom is the most popular Spidey villain after Green Goblin and Agent venom is one of the few times that a re-invigoration of a character actually worked.

Do we really NEED to do a Venom solo movie?

I suppose not, but neither did people need an Ant-Man, X-Force or Guardians movie. But the studios are making them and imo it's good to get some movies about heroes we haven't had movies of before

At this point, Marvel has proven to be reliable recently so if they want to make a Venom solo film have faith in it unlike DC. Maybe their sequels aren't up to par but for origin films that have earned my faith. If they have an idea for Venom bring it on.

I'm not a huge fan up modern "updates" and even I think a Thompson Venom would work better than a Brock Venom for establishing the character in its own franchise. To work as soon as they'd like, Brock would already have to have been established last movie, with this movie being the symbiote suite for Parker. SM3 showed it can't work in a single movie and there's been zero buildup. For the character to work this soon, Thompson, via a government experiment, is the best shot.

Was just thinking the same exact thing.


But for me it's not an insult. I think he looks cool. A nice change of pace from the fanged, Gene Simmons-tongued, frothing at the mouth style Venom. Which I also like.

Of course it didn't help that Spawn was essentially Venom with a cape, chains and green magic.
