Well The Winter Soldier has a mutant, stereotypical shady politician, jet packs with wings and amnesia cliche.

Days of Future Past has mutants, time-travel, giant robots and seventies fashion.

And Guardian of The Galaxy has a talking Racoon, talking tree, wrestler turned actor and space police.

Nothing is "serious" with this genre

Wow bro seriously ? We got a movie coming out about a giant lizard destroying the world, a racoon with a gun and a soldier in a red white and blue suit why should we take any of that seriously.
